On my home page and main category pages, I want my map — just the map — to display ALL listings, beyond the max # of posts to display WordPress setting.
Reason is this: If a given query returns more results than I’m set to display, list/grid view paginates them, right? So you can see there are more. But the map just doesn’t display those overflow results. I’ve even had siturations where I’m like “WTF I know there’s a club in New Mexico why aren’t they on the map!”
Displaying only entries that havwe a corresponding listing over in that particular page of grid view is an incomplete map experience.
My solution to date has been to increase the max number of posts so my map is complete. I’m up to 200, and need to increase it because I’ve passed THAT number now. (yay!) But I don’t really need/want all of those listings displayed in grid/list view, because they’ll paginate!
