Thanks for the detailed response. I tried the first way, not really what I am after, but very glad I know about that now. I probably am not explaining well.

See the attached screen shot. This is where I edited text to appear at the top of this categories page in this region(Edit Place Category, under places, place category, edit selected place).

This text appears at the top of page when in Region with no city selected and you select this category. I land on this page ( domainname/places/ohio/sample-category) when I select Region in the menu and change it to Ohio. Now If I select a city(columbus) in this Region in This category it is gone, the text doesnt show.
How to make this text show on top for each city in this region?
Do I have to manually add it to each city in the box under( says Category + City Top Description) where its filled in in the screen shot to have it appear on each and ever city in this region? Kind of like having it as a default top description for every city in this region.

Shows on: domainname/places/ohio/sample-category)
now add city(columbus)
it does not show on: domainname/places/ohio/columbus/sample-category)

Thanks for bearing with me while I try and explain.

I switched it back to google maps, re generated an api key and everything is working awesome. Thank you. Problem is solved.
