Your visitors are not restricted to search the suggested locations.
For example they can enter “University of Zurich” and then search, and it will return the listings within your set radius of that location. That will use the Google Maps API to look up the university. This would be your URL:
/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=+&snear=University+of+Zurich&sgeo_lat=47.3589251&sgeo_lon=8.56006130000003More info at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#how
The location switcher can be added to any menu you select at GD > design > navigation.
You’re welcome 🙂
You’re welcome 🙂
And do you know what you changed in your site between Stiofan fixing it and the same error starting again?
You’re welcome 🙂
1. No, that is not possible, sorry.
2. Not sure I understood correctly, but you can only search for relevant listings, you cannot search for categories. This reply has been marked as private. The more info tab will only show if there is content to show.
1. What I mean is that to check your settings, we need your WP admin details.
2. No, that will not work, a neighborhood will always only be a part of ONE city only.January 16, 2016 at 1:05 pm in reply to: GeoDirectory Multilingual Press Compatiblity Failure #68917I’ll get Paolo to have a look at your question.
I need to get Paolo to have a look for you.
1. Theme or plugin conflict, cannot quite find it directly.
2. That is because of the CSS of your theme, and because you have a lot of widgets in your sidebars, but little content in your main content.
3. Seems like a problem with the fixed header and your theme’s responsiveness.
4. Again, needs some CSS work I think.
5. The map in the Add Listing in the backend does not work either, I cannot find the culprit.I’ll get Paolo to have a closer look for you.
Set the map zoom level of the “GD > Home gmap” widget to something like 10. If there is only one listing to display, then it will use that zoom level, even if auto zoom is enabled too. I guess you got it at 1 for the moment.
No, clicking on the compass will just locate you, that’s all.
If you want the page to reload for your location, you need to click “search” after locating yourself with the compass.
Or you can add the “GD > Near me button” widget to the page. -
