Alex, you just got to test and play and learn. You do not need to understand CSS for tweaking little things using firebug.

The map is added using widgets. If you don’t want the map, remove the widget.
If I understand you correctly you want the listings page not to have the main map, but you want the map to be in the sidebar.
Just add the GD Listings Map widget to the GD Listings Sidebar.

The user needs to go to his dashboard or profile. Just add the GD Login widget and you’ll see the links if you set them up at GD > design > navigation.

Not sure why your link is not updated, are you using GD Booster?
If so reset, and also re-save your WP permalinks.We will need to see the URL, we cannot see coding in images.
There is some CSS issue with your theme I suspect.
