Only the admins and listing owners if their package price package supports it.

You had 2 Amersfoorts in your location list.
Just like you have 6 ‘s Gravenzandes, you need to merge them.
    2 Amsterdams etc.
Look at your switcher, there should be no reason to append the provincie to the plaats, unless there is more than one plaats with the same name.

Why not remove the Home map from the GD Home/location pages, and use a WP homepage with the Home map there.
Then the map will only show on your website’s homepage, and not on any location page.
    Just a thought.

Until a few versions ago, you were able to save a listing from the backend without giving it a proper location. Then it used to save as if the listing was in All, All. I cleaned up those two locations for you.

I guess you mean that if they start filling in the Add Listing form, and halfway through the form they choose another package, the form resets itself.
That is why they have to choose a package first, and that is the first thing on the form. The best suggestion is to add a note to the top of the page that alerts them to choose a price package first.

Add the following to your child theme CSS. If it keeps disappearing you probably did not add it to the child CSS, or you changed themes?

    .entry-content ol {list-style-type: decimal;}
    .entry-content ul {list-style-type: disc;}

I think to remove countries from the drop down list in the Add Listing page, you need to remove the countries from the countries table in the database. But I leave that answer to Paolo.

Go to Appearance > Editor > select style.css of your child theme (usually auto selected). Add the CSS there.
Make sure to refresh your browser if you want to see the changes on the frontend.

Post your admin details and URL if you need more help.

    1. I have added the switcher to your menu so you can see if you have navigated to a particular place. Just like Simone, I get 4 pages of results if searching leslocaties in Rotterdam. You might also have been on

    2. You should clean up your locations, you have a town and a province that do not exist: All in All?
    http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/faqs/how-do-i-merge-locations/

    3. We still need to fix your duplicate country issue. I think that is fixed in the upcoming version, but I’ll check with Stiofan.

Hi, a lot of questions, I’ll do my best answering.

    1. You determine which categories are available in a custom post type (CPT, for example Places). Your users will be restricted to those categories.
When adding a listing, it is your users that add the tags, they can be anything, and are not restricted to any list at all, unlike the categories list.

    2. Multilocation is only relevant for giving the listing an address in the database and on the map. All listings will have an address and a location on the map, it has nothing to do with what CPT they are, category or tags.

    3. GD does not work with Continent/Country/Region/Town but only with Country/Region/Town.
Look at the demo for drill-down switcher in the menu bar: http://wpgeo.directory/
I am guessing from your comment that you are using a custom solution, because you cannot use continent with GD.

    4. The location field in the search works like this:
    a. Visitor searches for “My city”
    b. Google figures out the lat and lng of “My city”
    c. GD then searches the database of any relevant listings in the database within that radius, and serves them on the search page.
So it does not search the database for “locations” but searches for listings within your defined radius.
So if you add USA, GD determines the lat and lng of the USA, and looks for listings within the radius set (default is 40 miles). Pennsylvania is too far away from the center of the USA.

    5. There is no need to add locations to the database, all you will do is create empty pages. Your users will add the locations as they add listings.

    6. When adding a listing, your users choose countries from a list, they do not type Italia, but they choose from a pre-defined list.
Test by adding a listing to the demo site.

    7. The map automatically zooms to fit all the listings which are requested. If a user chooses Italy from the switcher, all Italian listings will show, if they use all Places, all places will show etc.

    8. You can add a widget that shows most common tags. As explained above, tags are keywords added by your users.
Have a look at http://wpgeo.directory/attractions/united-states/illinois/chicago/landmark/crown-fountain/ and click on the tag
    “sculpture”, to go to http://wpgeo.directory/attractions/tags/sculpture/

I suggest to set up a test site, so you can see how it works for you. It will allow you to explore the options before implementing.

Try using GDF Options > header, you’ll have a lot more options there.
Let us know if that solved the issue.

I should have asked it differently: Did you set
WP > Settings > Discussion > Allow people to post comments on new articles > YES
    BEFORE you created the listings?
If not, you need to turn comments on for each listing after you make the changes, by navigating to that listing and “enable comments”.

Also check the settings for your custom post type. Is “comments” ticked at GD > Custom Post type > edit your post type > Support?

And check whether you have excluded “Reviews” at GD > design > detail > Exclude selected tabs from detail page

If none of that fixes it, post your WP admin details and we will have a look.

Is “Listing published” enabled at GD > Notifications > Site BCC options?
