You always should use a child theme, no matter what theme you use.
Otherwise you will loose any of your customisations when your main theme is updated.
That is why the GD framework comes with a ready child theme.
See also http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_ThemesLocations have to be in this format: country – region – city.
So you can rename that to country – county – town.Do NOT edit the PO file itself at /wp-content/plugins/geodir_location_manager/geodir-location-languages because you will loose all your changes in the next update.
You need to use PoEdit, and upload the MO file to the correct place:
See http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/translating-addons/If I understand you correctly, add this to your child theme’s CSS to hide the grey box in the right bottom corner of the map:
.map_category {display: none;}
This reply has been marked as private. This is a customisation, so if you like you can ask in the jobs forum to see whether a developer might be interested.
Sorry I can’t give you any better info.I de-activated the sorting option “Add date”, because it looks like that custom field was deleted. That seems to have fixed it.
I also suggest to at least de-activate all plugins you no longer use, and delete them altogether.
The amount of plugins is slowing your pages down, and quite a few are not necessary at all, and/or you are not using them.Yvette, all listings need a proper address. There is no town called “No town” for example.
You need to clean up your locations and give every listing a proper address. You might find this handy: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/faqs/how-do-i-merge-locations/
Jan, please post your WP admin details (username and password) in a private message so Paolo can have a look for you.
Thanks for posting this.
You posted the same URL again.
Can you post the URL of your GD home page, and the details of a WP administrator account (wp-admin URL, username and password) in a private message. Thanks for letting us know.
It would be very odd that only some are sent and others are not; that really points to a receiving problem I think.
I’ll see whether the others have any other ideas. At least some are getting them 🙂 , that shows it is working.
It is pretty common for WP emails to end up in spam boxes, until people add the email address to their trusted list somehow. You need to upload a map marker (this will be the icon on your maps showing the location of the listing), or you cannot create a category.
You can find some here for example: http://mapicons.nicolasmollet.com/November 30, 2014 at 9:44 am in reply to: Split: New Listings not showing and multi city drop down not working. #23086This reply has been marked as private. What you see on that site is rather than the “near” search, the locations have been predetermined by customising his menu.
But for the rest it is just the standard menu.
If the breeds are custom fields, you can use the Advanced Search Addon, just like clicking on Advanced Search on that site.Or http://wpgeo.directory/hotels/ and click on Customise My Search
