I’ll try to explain myself a bit better.
None of the coordinates of the places have changed just because you have changed the default location, only the fake addresses have changed.
Only the coordinates of the default location were changed, but that location itself is not shown on the map; only places/listings are.If you want the dummy places to change coordinates, you have to go to each of these places, click SET ON MAP to update the coordinates.
I have done that for one, and you can see the result of that on your homepageNobody will now be able to add any places outside your new default location, but if you want the places coordinates to change, you have to do that yourself.
There is no marker for the home page or for a location. There are only markers for listings, and as soon you changed all the coordinates one by one, they will not move on the map. So your map will keep displaying listings you added with “old” coordinates.
Just added this to the above post:
OR edit the listing and click Set on Map to change the coordinates.A default location is only to get your system set up, it is not important for anything at all. The only thing it does is that it adds a location.
What I guess has happened is that the address fields have changed, but the maps geo coordinates have not.
There is no error here. Settle on a default location, and once set, forget about it. If you really want to change the location of the dummy places, then delete them, and add new ones. OR edit the listing and click Set on Map to change the coordinates.
The login details you gave are not of an administrator account, so they do not work for us.
Hi Kat
A default location does not have a marker, only listings do.
So only changing the address of a listing will move markers.Always post a URL and possibly WP admin details if you need some help, it makes support possible. You can always do that in a private message.
Have a look here: http://www.2cv.com.au/location and http://www.2cv.com.au/forums/
Using bbpress and GD with a standard GDF Modern theme.
Work in progress – but all I have done so far is changed a few colors etc.Should work together fine out of the box.
November 21, 2014 at 10:48 pm in reply to: Can't add events with same location but different dates #22242That is not normal behavior, and I cannot replicate that error message at all.
I just added 2 events in the same place without any problem at all, see Guust test 1 and Guust test 2. I set them to draft after the test.
November 21, 2014 at 10:34 pm in reply to: Geodirectory Preventing WP Login for Certain Roles #22241I think Paolo meant:
GD > General > general > Allow user to see wp-admin area > YES
and then use another plugin that regulates who can have access to the Admin area.
You might find that also suits your purpose already, without a further plugin, as normal GD users should not have access to anything but their own stuff if you set new users role as Subscriber.I’ll get John, the theme wizard to look at your post.
I bet he is going to want to know your URL and WP admin details.I think you might find this plugin handy: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/
But I also will get the developers to look at your question, to see whether there is an easier way to allow Editors access to WP admin as well, when GD general access is set not to access WP admin.
1. The title of the image is used for the title of the image. So an image called Sunset.jpg will show as Sunset when a visitor hovers over the image.
2. 800 x 600, but if bigger, then it is scaled. See also
GD > Design > Home > Resize image large sizeHave a look at this page: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-place-settings/#custom
You can move any custom field to the more info tab for example.
Let us know how you went.Wangguard works in the background, make sure to set it up correctly.
I never used agreeable myself, but I know it has settings to choose where you want it. I suggest you ask agreeable, and let us know how you got on.November 21, 2014 at 1:22 am in reply to: What does advanced search from look like, mine missing? #22134Advanced search looks all different depending on what you want. There are no 2 the same advanced searches.
What do you want people to search for?
See an example here: http://wpgeo.directory/hotels/ and click on customize search.
Advanced search could include allowing to narrow down by category, or any custom field you have created (in-store; mail-order only), it is up to you.November 21, 2014 at 1:04 am in reply to: What does advanced search from look like, mine missing? #22132I added the sort as on the demo site.
You just have to follow the instructions at GD > Listing settings > Sort order.
It is not set up automatically. -
