Is there a way that the T&C’s can be ticked on signup? Having it on the place submission is fine, but if it is a person who is just commenting then they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to agree to them.

Also does anyone know of a good T&C template for the UK for a site like this?

Lastly, are there any settings that would stop spam signups and comments?

    Thanks,

    Rich

Also, when logged out and you go to leave a review it asks you to log in but reffers you to the wordpress login/register page. How can I get it to go to the GD login/Register page?

    Hi Rich
I think there are some plugins that allow T+C to be added, like “Agreeable”.
Same for spam signups etc, you can try plugins like Wangguard and others.

Regarding the login page for commenters, I alerted the developers:
    When setting
WP > discussion > Users must be registered and logged in to comment > YES
the login from the “You must be logged in to post a comment” link indeed goes to the WP login, instead of the GD login, and does not allow registration.

Hi Guust, Thanks for this. I have added Agreeable and Wangguard, but can’t get them to appear on the GD registration form.

    Any ideas?

Wangguard works in the background, make sure to set it up correctly.
I never used agreeable myself, but I know it has settings to choose where you want it. I suggest you ask agreeable, and let us know how you got on.

No worries. As it is not possible to make sure reviewers have accepted the T&C’s is there a way of turning them off and dropping the menu item from the page until I can figure it out?

I don’t really want to, but as the plugin is not complete in doing this then I have no option.

    Warmly,

    Rich

    Hi,

I added a task to correct the wrong login link in comments, when option to allow only registered users to submit reviews is enabled.

    Thx

Thats great Paolo, but without the reviewer being able accept the T&C’s then I wouldn’t be happy letting them submit a review. until I can figure out how to get a tickbox with the T&C’s in the sign up is there a way I can disable the reviews?

    Warmly,

    Rich

    Hi,
yes that is easy. Just disable comments in main wp menu: settings >> discussion.

In the forum you will find plenty of info about clsoing reviews if you do a simple search.

    Thx

But that would mean that blog posts couldn’t be commented on. I am going to have to give this some thought. It seems to be that it is a major let down of what seems to be a pretty decent plugin.

Blog posts comments can be open individually, when you publish them.

Agreeable works for the default wordpress login/registration/comments only.

If you also add the plugin “Theme my login”, that use the default wordpress login and registration page, agreeable should work out of the box.

Theme my login will automatically interecpt all calls to wp-login.php page solving the 1st problem you highlighted here.

To redirect all calls to default GD signup page to the new login/register pages you can use this: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/redirecting-the-login-page/

    Thanks

    Thx
