Yep, that works.
Paolo, let me know if there is anything I can do.This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private.Something seems wrong with your wordfence plugin.
It seems you have no categories setup within your CPTs yet.
Every listing needs a CPT.
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/places-categories-and-listings/You can group custom fields by organising them within a fieldset, there is currently no way to enter them into another tab.
To remove the map from the sidebar, go to WP admin > appearance > widgets > remove the map widget from the GD DETAIL SIDEBAR area.1. Because of the custom theme, it is not supporting normal menus, you will not get any menus showing in GD settings. Maybe if you use a custom menun widget, that might fix it. Let us know.
4. Not possible at this time, maybe check the request list, see notice at right hand of this page.
5. That might have to be a request too. Unless, Stiofan has more info on this.
PS I cannot view your GD design settings?
Can you post your URL and WP admin details?
And can you be a bit more specific about the problems you have?Sounds like you maybe are using some caching plugin.
You should not need any other coding skills than with any other WP plugin, but at the same time, things need to be exactly correct when you’re dealing with machines.
One wrong character for example will render a whole CSV file useless.
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/core-general/#csvCan’t login without username and password.
1. Can we have your admin details?
4. Your categories are available in your submission form, so users can see them.
A category will only need one listing somewhere for it to start showing.
For example, if you have a restaurant in Paris, the restaurant category will show everywhere else too, with a zero count.
Just add the widget and add a few listings to check the behaviour.5. Don’t think so, how do you intend to show listings on a map without markers?
1. Make sure you have set up your main menu in WP settings.
Then when you click in that field in GD navigation, you will be able to choose your main menu to be used for your GD links.2. Right, now I get it.
And unticking some of the options in the screen options does not solve that?3. You might be able to change the slug and postname before you have any listings and categories, but I am not sure about that. Not too sure what that would break, if anything.
4. Where are you talking about?
The popular categories widget will show all categories.
And the main map will also show all categories if you click non a different CPT.
But be aware that categories will only show if there is at least one listing in that category.I’ll invite Stiofan to have a look at questions 2 and 3.
Paolo and Matthijs
The setting for your language is correct at WP-admin > settings > general and in your config file.
I think it has something to do with the fact that the GDF child theme does not know to pick up the translation from the GDF framework, and I think that could be solved by an edit to the child’s functions.php.
Paolo, let us know if I am on the wrong track. And that was news to me, that now you only need to set the language in the backend. It seems when upgrading from 3.9 to 4.0 that is automatically picked up though.
Hi Joe, looks like we missed your topic.
1. To add CTPs to your menus go to
GD > design > navigation > and add your CTPs there2. If I understand you correctly, you would need to build your WP menu the manual way, by adding a link to each category separate
3. You can rename places this way:
GD > Custom Post Types > Edit Places and change whatever you want, but not the postname and slugLet me know if I misunderstood your questions and if I can help more.
Strange, I’ll ask Stiofan to have a look at this.
The switcher does not seem to work.Stiofan, the login details are at https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/translate-posted-by/#post-15054
You had locations in both Nederland and Netherlands, so GD thought you had 2 countries.
GoogleMaps looks for Netherlands, but somehow you had your default location set in Nederland, so you were confusing the system.
Also you had a location “all, all, all” and there is no location like that. I deleted that (that also deleted all your dummy data, but you can always re-import them; I thought you probably could do without them by now).September 11, 2014 at 11:52 am in reply to: Author User – Cannot Access WP backend with Wpgeodirectory installed #15060Allow users to access the WP admin by going to
GD > general > Allow user to see wp-admin area > YES
Is that what you’re looking for? This reply has been marked as private. -
