I don’t think it is that simple; categories have to be appended to the right custom posts etc as well.
Could you export the whole database and import into the new database? You’d only need to change the Site URL in the WP-options table?Or else we can ask Paolo …

Once activated, you will get new menu items in GD, which should be self-explanatory.
Let me know when you have more questions.You do not have to use the claim plugin. But the plugin will allow you to add a listing and then the owner can request to be connected to the listing, so he/she can then update the listing.
GD > Design > navigation > remove the menu from “Show geodirectory navigation in selected menu locations”

No, there is no need for that, the script will restore all of them.
