The switcher shows all the time where you are. If you choose to navigate to a particular location, the switcher will show that location.
Only the user can choose the location by choosing from the switcher, or navigating to a location from a link provided by you, etc.
Just by viewing listings, you do not choose a location (just keep an eye on the switcher).
A link to /location will reset the switcher.
I hope I understood your question and you understand my answer.Re your last post, there seems to be some conflict with something else.
The links to Places in your main menu for example, should never get the location slug in it.
Your settings are the same as my test site http://goldroo.net and I never get the location url in my Places. We might ask John since you are using Enfold. I am stuck …
HI Jack, you are right, that is exactly what I have been trying to explain: other users will not have a link unless you give it to them.
You can show a link when a listing is verified, meaning the Business Owner is set to YES.
You will need the Claim Listing addon.
Once that is activated, go to GD > Listings Claim > and choose where you want to show the Author link. There are two options: add to detail page and/or add to listings page. All your virtual pages are gone. I’ll get Vikas again. He will need your FTP details and phpadmin, so please post them in a private message.
Am I correct to say all is well now (once you add these two files back that Vikas sent you to get the switcher to behave)?
Any reason why we think that GD and especially AJAX menus would be 100% keyboard-only accessible?
I guess they are as accessible as a Google map?Without a URL and a few pics, nobody is going to be able to help I’m afraid??
This reply has been marked as private.Brett, I can access your site, but Vikas can’t. Is your site IP restricted to Australia maybe?
Slugs are only for URLs.
Have a look at WP admin > GD > CTP > there are a number of things you can adjust (which you done I guess).
Place Categories and Place Tags on the detail page needs to be changed in the language file of the GD core plugin: http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/translate-core/A price package is set for ONE submission for one CPT. It allows a listing to be added UP TO 3 categories in your example. If the user only chooses one category, that’s it, finished.
July 29, 2014 at 9:51 pm in reply to: Is it possible to add Restaurant Menu tab on Detail page #10287Leandro, can you add that question to the other topic. Somebody already answered that question to some extent there, just go near the end.
Some references to Place also have to be changed in your GD core language files.
Moderators and original topic starters can read private messages.
The reason all your location pages are empty is because you have no widgets at all at GD Home sections like Top, Sidebar, Content etc.
The GD home sections are not only used for /location but also for all location pages.
I added just one widget for you to adjust.I only get cities in the urls like /location/cary
but I do get countries and regions in /places URLs.Your WP permalink settings were set to /magazine/%postname%/
I changed that to Post name and now your Places URLs are changed. Can you review and post remaining issues for Vikas here.
If your package allows 3 categories, then that means that when they submit, they can choose the submission to be added to 3 categories at the same time, and one to be chosen as a default/main one.
You cannot pick 3 categories from different CTPs, unless you submit the listing more than once.
Each CTP has its own ADD LISTING form, and no categories of another CTP will be available on the form of another CTP.I hope that this makes sense as well 🙂
