Leandro, adding extra custom fields do not add extra tabs to they, except the Special Offers one that is standard?
If you add extra fields that you want to show on the detail page (not in sidebar), they all will be added in the More Info tab; so you are correct that you should not rename the More Info tab inf you want to add more fields to that tab, other than the menu in this example. You will also be interested in this topic:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/adding-a-new-listing-tab/Brian, I split this off because you were adding private details to somebody’s else’s topic.
I alerted Vikas to this topic now and copy this for his benefit:https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/location-switcher-and-bad-urls/#post-10230
I don’t think the files were supposed to change anything in the URLs.
The fact that your /locations pages are empty might have something to do with your Pages setup (have you changed the virtual “location” page?).This reply has been marked as private.Brian, there are quite a few helpful hints at WP about this, for example
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-change-wordpressmysitecom-email-address-when-user-registerI don’t know whether this will help or not, but I add this to my child theme’s functions.php:
function new_mail_from($old) { return '[email protected]'; } add_filter('wp_mail_from', 'new_mail_from'); function new_mail_from_name($old) { return 'My-Site-Name'; } add_filter('wp_mail_from_name', 'new_mail_from_name');
And change [email protected] and My-Site-Name of course 🙂
July 29, 2014 at 1:06 pm in reply to: Is it possible to add Restaurant Menu tab on Detail page #10219You can change “more info” in the language file for GD
http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/translate-core/Or you can use the Special Offers custom field and rename it to Restaurant Menu.
You had both 1.0.7 and 1.08 of multilocations installed.
I deleted 1.0.7 but that did not fix it though.
I think it might have something to do with the fact that you use the country name in your domain name.
I’ll get Vikas to look at this. All testing I did on your site worked fine:
I got password remember email.
I got new registration email with another email.
Your send to friend is working fine. Some of your emails went in my spam.
This was Google’s message: “Why is this message in Spam? It’s similar to messages that have been detected by our spam filter”.
Personalise your email text and see whether that fixes things.Another suggestion is to ask your host how you can check the email log to see what has been sent.
I had a look at one of my sites, that runs all the latest GD and GDF, and I don’t get any errors at all. I attach 2 pics to show?
July 28, 2014 at 12:54 pm in reply to: (0) next to categories in popular post category widget? #10134If I remember right, you are not using the location indicator.
Does the category count also show zero at yoursite.com/location ?
How do you know you are not in a location that has no listings for a particular category if you do not use the location switcher?A URL would be handy to check.
I’ll make sure Paolo gets to have a look at this.
[I just tested my installation to see whether there are any problems, and all works fine – Some emails might be marked as spam, so depending on your filters, IPs etc, they might not be delivered]
July 28, 2014 at 11:22 am in reply to: Auto Update to v1.0.8 failed. Can't download manually. #10122Have you synced your account here?
You should be able to download your update from your download area here, and then at least update manually using FTP. Probably should be some easier way, so we’ll see whether Paolo got better advice.July 28, 2014 at 11:14 am in reply to: child theme, custom listing-detail.php : dealing with custom post types ? #10121This looks like a question for Vikas. We’ll see what he’s got to say.
The string is being printed, so it must be there somewhere.
All I still can think of is that you got your Latvian language file and you have not synchronised it with your current WP version. You should also find strings like this
%s, and %s
That should allow you to translate “and”
July 27, 2014 at 9:14 pm in reply to: (0) next to categories in popular post category widget? #10104And are their listings for that category in the Location you have browsed to?
If there are no listings at all in category (anywhere), then the category should not even be shown.WP admin > GD > Place Settings (or other CTP) > Custom Fields > Field: Address > Region label
