Wonderful Vikas, you’re a marvel.
Just a note to others: start with firstly re-numbering the one you want last in the order, and then number the next one etc, and finish with the one you want to be number one. Because you cannot use a number that already is used by another post type, that’s how you have to do it.And don’t forget you can go to design > map > and pick your “Default post type search on map” if you haven’t done this already.
@pranav1234
Thanks for the confidence in my skills, but I struggle finding enough time to look after my own sites properly.
Thanks to WordPress and heaps of clever people that build plugins like GD, anybody with average computer skills is able to build a nice site.
The way I learned most of what I now know (and it is fairly limited compared with the skills of some others – but a bit more than the average 🙂 ) is having a go:- create a WP site at a subdomain of folder that you use as a test site, and don’t be afraid to experiment with plugins and themes; you can always delete everything and start again. Then apply what you learned to you real site.
- there are plenty of resources that will give you a headstart:
- http://codex.wordpress.org/
- support forums of plugins you are using – but have a go at trying to solve the problem first, best way to learn
Good luck with your site!
No probs at all
Thanks Stiofan (but download area still shows Geodir Payment Manager v 1.0.0 – so updated addon is still to be posted? – no rush)
No, you just add them going WP admin > appearance > menu
See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/geodirectory-framework-theme-beta-released/#post-1520You need custom post addon: https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/custom-post-types/
Change 1040 to 100%
> appearance > widgets > GD home top section > GD – Gmap home page > map width: 100%
Vikas, review tab can now be turned off.
Sorry to be a pest, and probably should have mentioned this earlier, but the “no review” link on listings and homepage and various widgets still goes to mysite.com/listings/info/listing-name/#comments, see attached image too (which is a bit of a collage). Are you using the multiLocation addon?
If not, you will be quite restricted. My postings is available from your dashboard.
Would love to see a link to all postings as well. You can subscribe to each sub forum so you get notified of all new posts, but that’s not quite the same. This is possible with the payment addon.
I am with you about old listings. It woukd be nice to have a built in link checker that allows you to check periodically for dead links or parked domains etc. That’s right I think, unless you have the multiLocation addon, your directory is restricted to one postcode/Zip code/town or whatever it is called in your neck of the woods.
Right now I think you can only manually update the addons.
What is the correct way to update the addons (at least for the moment)?
I just unpack the ZIP file locally and then FTP all files, overwriting the existing files. I guess that is fine?Vikas, there is only an updated version of the CTP addon, not the Claims addon.
I upgraded to GD 1.0.2 and rescanned all the MO and Po files.
But still no luck.
I generated MO and PO files for the claim addon.
I placed them in both
wp-content/plugins/geodir_claim_listing/geodir-claim-languages
and
wp-content/plugins/geodir_claim_listing/
folders. One thing I noticed in the PO file is this code:
#: language.php:11
#: language.php:78
#@ geodirclaim
msgid “Business Owner?”
msgstr “Is this your business?”Might that be the problem, ie that there is the same msgid found on two different lines of language.php?
Sorry if I miss something completely, as I said, I am a newbie to localization.
