I guess you could create a google map linking to your listings and then paste that in a page or post.
http://www.google.com/earth/outreach/tutorials/custommaps.htmlYou can change which fields are available using Custom Post add-on. I know that is not the same as per category, but it might help. Thanks Vikas Thanks, another one for the list of things to do 🙂 Thanks Paolo, point taken. I also played with 2013 which seems to work fine. I’ll build a child theme for 2013 I think, that’s a responsive design as well. I’ll add one: - Shortcodes: shortcodes for every widget for starters, so you can create your own page easily.
But it would be even better if you could create shortcodes that filter, for example so you could add a map to a page which only shows only some categories in only one location
I have been trying to use it in 2014 theme.
I have a test site at http://goldroo.net/ and as you can see all but the map on the homepage sits behind the left sidebar.
That sidebar is only there if the screen is wide enough; resizing the screen moves the sidebar to the bottom of the page and that all geodirectory stuff is showing.
PS: No modifications and other plugins at all on that test siteI don’t have the CPT add-on. But looks like I need to get it anyway. That only changes the url, not the link text in the menus. Same here. Deactivating, and even deleting all the files of the plugin is not good enough. You need to do a new install. So to avoid this: DO NOT load dummy data!
