The template uses the featured image for the page or post or listing, just like it does on all the pages that use the template.For example, this test page uses the featured image of the page or post or listing, just like it does on all the pages that use the template: https://www.hermanusexperiences.co.za/aaatest/
That page does not use GD at all.

The detail page is using the featured image. The first listing image IS the featured image.
If you want to use another featured image than the featured image of the relevant page, in this case the first listing image, then you need to change the template to create a fixed image in the header.
The template is doing exactly what you want, it “uses the featured image on every page”.If you do not want the featured image of the listing to be used, then you should change the template to use a different image.
It is displaying the featured image of the listing, see image.Can you please tell us where we can find an upload that does not work, and include URLs. I tested a few places and cannot find any problems.
