If you want to hide some search fields on some pages, you can do that with CSS.
ThanksWhere should I put that CSS?
Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS
The page https://viplocalasset.com/places/ shows a map for me every time …
Similar for
https://viplocalasset.com/places/category/police/
https://viplocalasset.com/places/category/police/canada/alberta/calgary/
etc which are using the same template. Thanks
You mean, one can’t search listings in any specific category like one do in a specified default location
You can search listings in any specific category by adding the categories drop down to the search bar, but you cannot have “another search bar below the default one that provides search exclusively for this category as default.”
1. The settings for GD Maps cannot be used for GD Search.
2. The search filter on the directory/location map only searches the title of the listings, nothing else.
The GD “search for” fields searches categories too.Have you tried this option:
GD > Settings > Search tab > Show Advanced > Show search suggestions with > “Listings and Categories” or “Categories only”?
ThanksOr at least lock it on the option for that CPT?
That is how it should work if you are on the correct CPT pages.
is there a way to remove other CPTs from the drop-down list in the search bar for each CPT archive page I setup?
Try this CSS:
.post-type-archive .gd-search-field-cpt {display: none;}Thanks
What about this step?
Then go to
UsersWP > Form Builder > Profile Tabs tab, and review the tabs. Make sure to add Listings. Thanks
You are linking twice to the same page from that menu.
Look at the URLs I posted, they are different than yours.
Go to Appearance > Menus > GeoDirectory Endpoints > CPT Add Listing, and replace your Add Listing links with the correct ones. Thanks
You’re welcome
That is not possible, only one CPT can be searched at the same time unless you use the WP search instead of the GD search. The WP search will look everywhere on your site.
Listings in one CPT cannot automatically appear in another CPT.
That can only be achieved using categories and subcategories within the same CPT.Thanks
Thanks for letting us know.
Please try updating by uploading the latest ZIP file, using this plugin:
