Yes, have a ticket open with them, but they’re at a loss as well. They haven’t been able to duplicate the issue on their end.
I will most likely look to use Yoast or similar, but I also want to make sure that everything is functioning at the “base” level to begin with.
To me, this seems like something is overriding, or not overriding a setting when it should be. I think the “Post Type Archives” may be a generic WordPress phrasing, but I don’t know the ins and outs like some here might.
Long shot, but was hoping that someone might have dealt with this before or have some insights.
Thanks
No worries. Not something I think I’ll be using anyway, but wanted to share the findings.
Cheers 😉
Great! Appreciate it, thanks.

Thanks.
In light of the inability to export/import, I was hoping this would be another way to ease the load.
I see these as two different features.
For this one specifically, would love to see this added to the roadmap. I would envision a separate section/tab within the Geodirectory section that would allow the construction of additional pre-defined fields…user-generated pre-defined if you will.
It would have a similar interface to the Custom Fields section, but this would simply allow the creation and configuration of additional pre-defined fields.
From there, once saved, they would simply show up under the Custom Fields tab of the CPTs. Just like the other pre-defined fields, they could be added and then modified for each specific CPT.
Consider it a kind of copy-paste on steroids for custom fields!
Export/import of whole CPTs…structure, fields, etc. would still be extremely useful, and ideally the two features could work independently of each other but could also be used in tandem for maximum effect.
– Construct user-generated custom fields
– Create a CPT template base, including user-generated fields
– Create new CPT by importing in a CPT template base
– Add any remaining unique/additional predefined or user-generated custom fields to complete CPT configuration.
– Ideally…import pricing and package template bases as well. Thanks!

I’m assuming then that this is probably still fairly “blue-sky” and not likely, if at all, to be implemented in the “near future.”

I was wondering similar.
At the very least, I think a “filter,” either literal (f0b0) or three stacked decreasing bars would be a more universally familiar icon:
_____
___
_GD>General>Search actually provides for modifying the actual Search icon; so would be similarly handy to do the same for this.
Understand that where it actually resides physically is a bit more challenging and open to individual tastes, however at least the option to have it before/left-of-search rather than after/right-of-search I think would be good and perhaps more logical working from a left to right POV.

Ok, good to know.
In particular, do you know whether EWWW Image Optimizer still has conflicts, and/or any specific recommendations for a similar image optimizer that works well with GD…preferably can be set to run automatically?
Cheers
Follow up question…
Under the V2 page on conflicts, there is a link to known issues, which is the same for V1: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/known-issues/
Are these the same for both versions or are some of these no longer an issue under V2?
Thanks
Excellent, thanks!
August 5, 2019 at 11:02 pm in reply to: Editing the Detail Details Section of Individual Listings #501485Thanks!
Here’s a specific example of some changes I’d like to make at the Detail page level…
1) As my site is very local, I’d like to modify the address in the top section of the Supreme Directory detail page to just list the city, rather than city, state, country.
I can edit this in:
/themes/supreme-directory/template-parts/header/header-single-top.phpBut of course risk being over-written.
Is there a way to template override this or some other method? I don’t want to simply “hide” via CSS (I’m an SEO with 15+ years experience, so “display: none;” is not a viable option to me).
2) I’d also like to relocate the “Add to Favorites” heart icon, perhaps just to the left of the listing title (h1 or inside the h1). Best way to do that?
Most of the other changes to that section I can do via CSS, but doesn’t seem to be any other way to modify that specific part of the Details page other than template level.
Cheers

Let me ask then, as this is already a child theme, what is preferred method of making any changes (like this or other) that must be done at the template file level while also maintaining stability through updates?

Thanks, at the moment, just trying to get my bearings….
Developed a site quite a few years ago running on Enfold but then it kind of just sat on the back burner. Flash forward and a lot has changed, so I’m both trying to refresh my memory as well as relearn, unlearn, and learn what has changed.
I think Enfold was heavy and overkill, so I’m trying to figure out where to go from there…. GDF, Starter + Supreme, etc.
Cheers
OK, disregard…found the information about deactivating and reactivating the licenses.
It would be helpful if there was some kind of refresh button though. At least for me, when opening up the license key, I wasn’t able to select and copy, so had to match up to my subscription page (and not all add-ons have the same name or same order in both places), copy and paste, going back and forth between windows.
Cheers
