I have noticed this as well and emailed screen shots over to the team. I tried at approximately 7:00pm PST on all 3 websites (70% off for WPInvoicing and UsersWP!!).

I am sure they will resolve this ASAP. The team at AYECODE LTD is great!

    Hello Paolo:

Thank you for your reply. I am sorry the tone in my several posts tonight have come from frustration. I do not think it is very honest to say you integrate with a plugin but give no details about the limitations of your integration ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET that is publicly available. I didnt even fully realize it because I am still learning all the details of WPGeoDirectory – it is a new platform and to learn all of it takes more than 30 days to be fair.

My FRUSTRATION comes from YOU DID NOT POST YOUR LIMITS ONLINE and you left us to believe on (https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/affiliatewp-integration/) that “This add-on allows simple and pain-free integration with the GeoDirectory plugin.” Simple to developers and users means not 10000 complex steps to setup and pain free meaning not a ton of hassle with bugs.

Reoccuring revenue is a huge request in your features area. If you read into about 10 of the requests they mention it somehow, and this is a major one. You cant search your features area and unless it is on the top 3 pages NO ONE WILL SCROLL Back that far to look so you delete their new requests because it is a duplicate that you the team see but no one Customer Wise will spend time scrolling through 400 results or more (40+ pages) to make sure they are not adding a duplicate so that also does not do justice.

Also, I do not think people truly understand the power of affiliate marketing AND providing referral on-going revenue. You as developers should educate your user population and do a team up Discount deal with AffiliateWP to help your customers drive up their business. Educate your users — especially the business owners (non-developers) about how paying someone an on-going commission as an affiliate could turn that affiliate into a literal commission only outside sales representative for your company and they will be all ears!

I do not see Simplified User Profiles ANYWHERE on your requests page for completed work, I was wondering how many votes it took to get implemented since Booking has OVER 500 and it is still not done and many others have over 100 and still not touched that are easy and or amazing ideas.

I appreciate you being a wonderful listener. I want WPGeoDirectory to succeed. I dont want it to fail and force myself and my client base to have to move to another platform. I hope you can appreciate the TIME I have invested in critiquing your approach as I truly appreciate and respect your business and want to give it the consideration it deserves before voicing my opinion.

Thank you VERY much Paolo and the rest of the team!

    Hello Kristina:

I would like to followup with you about your last point

    4. What is the best way of doing a member get member scheme – I.e if they sign someone else up they get both get a reduced price. I’m keen to make this as automated as possible.

Answer: There is no off the shelf way of referral based pricing. The workaround would be buy the AffiliateWP plugin. GeoDirectory offers an integration whereas you can earn money for referring listings. AffiliateWP can allow every user on your site to have an Affiliate Account automatically (members therefore then are also part of affiliate system by default). The affiliates can be given a GeoDirectory Coupon to give out to new prospect members either a generic one or you can manually create coupons for special users/high producing affiliates. The user signing up would they get a discount for being referred AND your affiliate would earn money(allow them to have a NET discounted membership). AffiliateWP also can be configured very granularly so you could do a one time commission for Affiliates or on-going and that can be set by tiers as well etc(tiered affiliate rates)

Now if you just want a pure membership site and referrals based on that then AffiliateWP also offers a signup referrals option however that is just when a user refers someone else who create a WordPress User Account. Also AffiliateWP has a free sigup bonus for affiliates(one time comission when a user signs up/affiliate signup but if all users are affiliates it is like a discount to the user for purely signing up) …. lastly there is an option if you integrate WooCommerce to spend any affiliate earnings as store credit. This would allow them to sell directory listings, and then use a WooCommerce membership plugin and spend the money they earn through affiliate comissions(selling listings) on the membership to the site itself (if you sell memberships AND listings).

Hope this helps give you some options and a work around. Let me know if you have any more questions or if you need a paid consultant (I do not work for WPGeoDirectory but love to help out fellow Members).

Do you have a deadline for the project? Are the other modifications design or code related?

    Hello Tim:

I could assist you in setting up a Yelp Clone. I am currently integrating several major WordPress Plugins with GeoDirectory. You are correct there are many little bugs/tweaks when integrating GeoDirectory and other WordPress plugins. The team at GeoDirectory does not provide third party integration support and neither do many other plugin developers. However, GeoDirectory comes with a vast community, overall decent to excellent documentation and AWESOME support.

I also recommend using Whoop. I have looked at PAYING MONEY for 3rdparty themes that GeoDirectory is integrated with that also support my other plugins however an extra $50-$300(lifetime licenses etc) when you have an excellent INCLUDED IN MEMBERSHIP option like Whoop is just money not well spent. The team will also INTEGRATE into Whoop any changes you need to fill a specific plugin needed. Whoop also comes with the WordPress Theme Customizer and many other options that even a non-developer could tweak the UI in tangible ways.

Just as a reference from my Spreadsheet, the following are GeoDirectory Compatible Themes.

    GeoDirectory_Framework
    Directory_Starter
    Jobby
    GeoProperty
    Avada
    Enfold
    X
    Divi
    Genesis
    Jupiter
    Multi_News
    Kleo
    Twenty_Seventeen

Two Options/Steps for Chosing the Right Theme

    Option 1:
    1. Make a list all plugins you want to install
    2. Make an Excel spreadsheet with these listed in column A, in colmns B,C,D,E etc…. add the plugins you want to install
    3. Check each plugin for Theme compatibility and fill in data on your worksheet.
    4. Select the best theme that supports all the plugins or the most plugins you want to use.

    Option 2:
    1. Use Whoop, rely on EXCELLENT / TIMELY ThemeSupport and guaranteed compatibility with all major plugins.
    2. Spend money you saved on Theme customization’s and licensing on longer membership with GeoDirectory.
    3. Celebrate with a beverage or two for “killing two birds with one stone”.

Regarding the integration, post your list of plugins here, and I will give you some insight and let you know if my expertise would be of value to your project.

    Hello Jamie:

    Just some thoughts:

    1. Could you find a plugin to download the data from that site you want to download used products from in CSV format instead? This would allow you to follow Guust suggestion to use the build in bulk import tool.

    2. Have you spoken to that plugins author? They have the best grasp on their codebase and it would be fastest to have them modify it. Potentially they could even offer a way to export to CSV ( which would be a value add it seems to their plugin) and being the plugin author it could benefit the community if it gets pushed into the core PLUS most likely would be the most cost effective way(they known their own code best) and being integrated into the core helps allow you to keep a maintainable solution and helps the community.

Which plugin are you trying to modify? Does the plugin keep constant updating / live sync / or is it a one time/manual plugin?
