great! thank you
it’s about searching for listings that contain a tag, category, content in the heading and/or description within 1000 miles of a location entered into the ‘near’ field. It is not calculating the centre of that location and looking for listings.
This is not about the ‘near me’ as that works. It’s the ‘Near to’ that is not working.

March 11, 2018 at 11:48 am in reply to: Selecting a feature image from media library not uploading a new one #421064hi, just following up on this one. the layout is better but i’m still not able to add feature images from my media library I can only upload them.
From the information in https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/#near
It says “When you enter a location in the Near field, GD will calculate the center of that location.
GD then will look for all listings within an area with a default that match the Search for criteria.”My understanding of this is that it will search for listings within the distance specified in “Limit squared distance area to X miles (helps improve search speed)” of the location entered.
It is only finding things that are listed in a specified location and around there. If I don’t have a listing at the location it is saying no results found. E.g. I have set the Limit squared distance area to X miles (helps improve search speed) to 1000 so it should find a lot of listings. I search for Toilets and enter Stirling Range National park. I have no listings in Stirling Range National Park but I have many listings within 1000 miles of Stirling Range National Park. I am expecting it to search for Toilets within 1000 miles of Stirling Range National Park but it is giving me no results found.
