You’re right, the “select” was a better choice, thanks!
Same for icons.
I’m going to deactivate the duplicate alter plugin. It doesn’t make sense to use when listings may have the same names… I suppose…
I also noticed that when I look at the francises tab for the main listing I see two. When I look at it for any of the two listings I see three (the one I’m on shows redundantly in the franchises).
Here’s the main one: https://thingstodoinnc.com/shops-services/tanger-outlets/
Notice that the others have numbers at the end of the urls, because I used the same name. Could these errors have something to do with the duplicate alert pluging? Does the duplicate alter plugin interfere with the franchise plugin? I don’t have the duplicate alert set for categories with franchises though…
I tried and this didn’t work. thanks though! I still have the code in the “Custom style css code” field of scripts in design. And, I still see the compass…
Thank you so much! I remembered seeing that option before. When I actually needed it I looked for it and couldn’t find it. I was looking more where the maps are. That seemed to do exactly what I needed! Maybe from a front end perspective there could be some way or reference under the Design>>Map tab.
Also as I anxiously await resolve on all of this, do I have to create a child theme to change the language file and prevent it from being overwritten? I haven’t had to create a child theme yet. I’m not sure exactly how to for geodirectory. I’m using elegant themes as the theme, so I’m really not sure how to create a child theme for geodirectory…
LABELS
I may be able to figure out a way around the labels all needing to be the same name on all CPT’s, but all of them being the same is really going to limit the potential of this. There must be a way to qualify changing the labels for one particular CPT.REMOVE SOCIAL IMPORTER
let me know if you find out anything.REMOVE CLAIM LISTING
The “Choose post types for show claim listing link” does not appear to work. The CPT that I do not want to have a claim listing in is not in there but the CPT still has the claim listing in it.NO CATEGORIES
If in fact it is true that a category is required, then why is there an option to not make it active? And, if I must have one, is there a way to force all new listings in a CPT to use a default category?PRICING
This CPT that I am trying to make unique from all the others does not need a price field. I may like to hide that as well. Is there a way to do that?Oh, cool! That was it, thanks!
It would be awesome though to have “all events” in the Popular Post Category widget as well so someone could easily see all from this widget as they’re using it. but that may be asking too much. This is probably fine…
The listing sidebar is in my widget area already. I have three widgets in it. When I select Events from the home page and go to http://derekmccoymusic.com/events/ I see all three widgets in the sidebar which are in the “GD Listing Right Sidebar”.
When I select a link from the CPT Categories widget on the events page the resulting page that comes up is the one that I am having issues with: http://derekmccoymusic.com/events/pistol-hill/?etype=upcoming. There is where I do not see the CPT Categories anymore.
I did as you suggested even though I did not understand the logic. I added a top section and this did not help. I still don’t see the CPT Categories widget on any of the results from the widget on the events page. And I don’t want anything in the top or bottom section. So, I’m still in the same situation.
This creates a problem because when someone selects something from CPT Categories widget on the events page the resulting page not having the CPT Categories to choose from doesn’t enable the visitor to easily understand how to go back and/or select a different category.
When I use the widget Popular Post Category in the listing sidebar everything works as it should. However, the problem with this widget is that it doesn’t display properly on phones if the category name is too long (see attached). I guess I’ll just live with this widget instead and just shorten the name…
That’s it! Thanks, I forgot the theme I’m using has a control for that. Sometimes this all gets confusing, changing something either via them, plugin, or core settings, ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!
And here’s the search result page that I cannot access the sidebar for.
Here’s what plugins I’m using currently.
I already had tried this. By default these are set to 10. But, there’s only 5 showing.
