Thanks, Kor.
That eliminated the white space in the middle, but now both columns are too wide. Could you suggest CSS that would move the white space to the left and right margins? Attached is an old screen shot with the correct margins. (There are other problems with the page in the screen shot, but you can ignore those.)Hi Paolo,
Thanks – I followed your instructions, but the stars are still there – they’re blank, but I want them to go away completely. This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private.I am having a similar issue. I recently bought a new license for four months, but I can’t update my GD plugins. When I go to Auto Updates / Licensing, the old license keys are grayed out, but I can’t enter the new keys, and I can’t deactivate the old licenses. My site is globaltwincities.com
Thanks – it turns out that all I needed to do was to add /location to my primary menu, but change the Navigation Label to “Directory.”
But I don’t want the GeoDirectory Homepage to be my website’s home page! I want to keep my original WP Homepage as my main homepage. I thought I could have a separate GD Homepage at http://www.globaltwincities.com/geodirectory.

But I also want to categorize my listings by ethnicity. In the Twin Cities, we have at least 50 different ethnicities, that can be grouped into about half-a-dozen categories: European, Middle Eastern, Asian, African, Latino, African-American, Native American. Most of them would have subcategories, such as Swedish or Brazilian or Nigerian.
What’s the best way to structure this taxonomy?
I want to be able to display a variety of different categories and subcategories on individual pages: e.g., Chinese Twin Cities (everything Chinese); Chinese Restaurants; Chinese Markets; and Restaurants (all restaurants, regardless of ethnicity.)
To do this, do I have to have Chinese as a subcategory under Asian (or as a Category of its own), as well as a subcategory under Restaurants (along with 49 other subcategories), and again under Markets, etc.?
That seems very crowded and complicated.
Is it possible to offer users two category drop-downs – a short one that lets them select the type of place (Restaurant or Market or House of Worship), and a second one that lets them select the ethnicity?
Thanks,
Jeremy -
