i tried that, i get the easy sign-up part. hence the question to enhance and harden registry mechanism and you suggested a 3rd party plugin for that
If that is the case, the “how-to” is not so clear to me.
i would be happy to find more tutorials on how i can implement this properly.
from the start i saw GD as the suitable solution, but implementation became a bit of a struggle, hence my infinite questions.

hi,
thank you for the help.
i intend to use your product to create a platform for shop-owners to publish their places and for customers to input their comments and rating for each shop.
for the shop-owners – i wish to have access that will allow them to set promos, description of their business, services provided, contact and location details, and such – all this under their “place” page.
for the customers – to be able to communicate with the shop-owner via the platform, comment and rate the shop/service, and to have a follow up registration option for each shop.

hi,
user creation with default permissions is ok to be an automatic procedure.
what i want is to be able to set additional permissions for certain users, but not the default options that WP provides me.
more than that, i want the user details to be enhanced when it comes to non-default users.
bottom-line i want to have shop-owners and customers, each with different access options.
am i clear ?
so if i understand correct, ill have to find a plugin for the user authentication i need, since the GD doesnt support the requirements, right ?
Hi,
how do i control all of this and set who is a listing owner, who is a regular subscriber ? and on top of that, prevent people from adding places (and/or creating users) before i approve them.

reopening this, if i may –
how do i harden the registration process so that a user will be pending approval before even being able to login ?
Amir
hi,
yes, i still cant see the places i’ve insterted unless i’m logged in and only i can see them.
look for yourself under “change location->city->tel-aviv” and you will get an “oops” notification, while i do see the places if im logged in.
hi,
this didnt work..
looking at the child theme, it is not the original one as i’ve changed the theme itself to a different one.
what to do ?
see attached printscreen
so… what do you think ? what went wrong here ?
Amir
i received several complaints and also checked it myself –
if i go to “locations” and change to a city, “tel aviv” for instance, there’s a “oops page doesnt exist” notificatoin, even though if i do it while logged into my account, i see it perfectly.
i’ve checked it also with other browsers and in incognito mode.
i’ve cleared all cachewhen looking at the browser address, it is being reformated after you click to “http://points.keepod.org/location/” and then the error notification is sent.
instead of showing the full address or its content. for exmaple choosing Tel-Aviv city –
http://points.keepod.org/location/israel/tel-aviv-district/tel-aviv-yafo/i can see that as an admin logged in but not if unlogged and/or in incognito.
can you see –
Giddy’s Cafe in Ramat Gan city, for example ?
