Using the custom CSS code will only hide it but the map still loads when the page loads.

Or have you tried using the “Show/Hide” option as shown in the attached screenshot?

In GDv2, you can remove the “Categories” from the “Listing Details Page” as shown in the attached screenshot. You need to go to the “CPT’s Settings” > Custom Fields > Select the Field > Remove the option in “Show in extra output location”
