Are you referring to the “Recent Posts” at the bottom of the homepage? You can create a right sidebar following the guides from this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#typical and then insert the “GD > Popular Post View” widget to the sidebar.

Could you please try creating a new page for your directory following this guide https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home . Then, use the shortcode method to display the listings https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listings . Let us know if it works better. If not, you might probably require customizing the page using custom CSS.
