Thanks for the suggestion, I looked at the link and that will help. I’m attempting to setup the home page to something like the image attached. The proportions are off, but I think you will get the idea.
If I use the link as a starting point, am I on the right track?
Thanks again
Guust:
Thank you! That solved the issue.
Kiran:
It seems this situation has resolved itself and is not an issue at this time. Thanks for your time and effort though.

Thanks for the link suggestion. My use is simpler, I set an expiration date of December 31, 2030 for all places, that’s 5,111 days in the future. None should expire before that, unless I manually change the expiration date or manually trash the “place”. I have checked and my export database has the alive_days field which is apparently correctly showing the end date.
Do I need to change my package Id, or create a new one to solve this? Could that be the problem?
ThanksKor:
You are a genius, apparently Firefox is just as bad as IE although I use the latest versions. You were correct. thanks.
One quick question, I saw, then lost the location of a “merge” field in the GD menu panel, so I could merge two categories or places and can’t find them again, do you know where they are located?
Thanks!
Guust:
Although I had tried that previously, it worked this morning for some reason.
That appears to have resolved the issue, many thanks.

Thank you, I’ll give it a go!Thanks again

I think this is getting more complex than it could be.
Here’s the scenario:
1. Client provides an ad, either as an attachment or pick-up from a print version (don’t worry about the quality here; I know it will be poor).
2. Using the media library, scan ad or click on “add new” and add it to the media library.
3. Using the image widget, I click on the ad and it is imported into the widget hit save and it fits. I can delete the image widget if WP has an integrated plugin to accomplish this.
4. What size does the ad have to be in order to fit the space? You suggested 500px. Telling me that it’s responsive means nothing to me, sorry, I’m not a coder or dev person.
5. If I’m spending all this time writing code and adjusting the ads, I’m not making any phone calls therefor no money.
6. I’m looking for a fast and simple way to insert the advertiser provided ad so it looks as good as possible in the sidebar without writing code every time I want to drop in an ad.
7. An example in the right sidebar can be seen here: http://www.ruralintelligence.com/ Yes, I know they are not using WP.
8. If this is a directory program, I’m pretty sure Stiofan already thought of a way to make this happen.Thank you
Paolo:
Thanks, I will have a further look at this. Thanks again

Thank you for your prior help.
Obviously I’m not a coder or I would not be asking for further help. Please see image attached.
But this is where I am, and I’m not getting the result I was seeking.Would you mind having another look at this and advise where I am headed in the wrong direction?
Thank you,
Kor:
Thanks for the suggestion, I will look around the ‘net.
Thanks againGuust:
OK, I’ll leave it disconnected, I thought it was an integral part of WP and blocked spam and other junk.
Thanks for all you help.
