Doubtful, this plugin is pretty pants, if I had a time machine I would go back in time and do what this plugin does but better just using ACF.
no we used the business email for themetailors and I made a personal account here. I will go make a new account.
Clicking the link to do that under profile just refreshes the page it doesn’t link my account :/
I am logged into both sites when trying that and still just refreshes the page.
still doesn’t change the fact that for example the girl guides run a weekly meet on a Friday at the same time it means that they have to click each Friday for the rest of time which is completely lacking.
A drop down box which says “reoccurring event:” with the options:
Daily, Weekly, Monthly is far more user friendly than manually clicking every Friday for example.
Do you not see my point?
I am not developing a website for tech savvy people so this plugin is not really saving me any time because 1 I am going to have to implement this feature myself now as well as another feature for opening hours because I can not rely on users to correctly format there own opening hours.
Also you have not updated the events plugin on the themetailors website its still 1.0.2.
wow what a major flaw looks like I will need to code this in myself great time and money waster this is turning into.
You miss the point completely!
Say there is an event on every Friday, are we expecting the user to click every Friday until the end of time?
No ETA on this?
Also I bought the Custom Post and Event Addon’s as one off payments this means im not entitled to access the support forms for these?
Can someone clarify;
I shouldn’t have to add anything to the switch used for altering WordPress tables because it has default action in the switch that should set it to varchar?
Is there something outside the 3 files I have mentioned such as an initial setup of custom fields etc?
Any word on a fix for this?
Yeah this doesn’t seem easy and the really poor formatting in the source files doesn’t help.
Fairly sure the custom_field_html.php file is also something I need to edit, I have edited all three of these files now but there still seems to be something missing as the content that should appear doesn’t I will dig a bit more but this plugin is turning into a bit of headache to do any modification on ¬_¬

I made another field set and placed the default Facebook/Twitter links under this field set and they did not move in the listing editor.
So no they are text fields.
I used the default field for facebook / twitter the fields you can’t delete which by the way is stupid, I can resolve the issue by adding custom fields as the facebook and twitter fields but then I would end up with 2 sets of these fields and I wouldn’t be able to delete the originals from place settings which by now in my directory is looking very messy because of not being able to delete default fields.
Also I find my fields are not arranging themselves as they should in other ways, for example.
I have a fieldset called “internal use” and this has 3 fields under it for a contact name, email, phone. Under add new place these custom fields appear at the top section under “Buisness Additional Information” where in place settings they are at the bottom
Also I have added a custom field called “Fax Number” which is under the default field for Phone Number and yet its appearing in the top section so I think sorting is completely broken…
The box to specify the order number is always greyed out in my custom field options so I don’t even see the point of that option.
P.S. Having to enter the captcha every time you edit a post is also stupid…
OK may have solved this myself,
can anyone confirm that I am in the right places those being:
custom_fields_functions.php
and the geodir_custom_available_fields() function in admin_hooks_actions.phpThis is something I am also having a problem with in that I am trying to find a solution for end users (only admin users will add businesses) which are not very computer literate.
My idea was to use 14 time fields to allow users to do the open / close times for each day, problem then comes when you have a closed day and a time field or say the business is closed for 1 hour over lunch.
Only thing I can think of as an ideal solution would be a jQuery calendar of mon – fri with time boxes which you can grey out for the closed hours, going to try implementing this myself.
EDIT:
This illustrates my point perfectly.
