Thanks for the reply Kor. I have deactivated and reactivated the licence keys for the affected plugins and this seems to have resolved both issues (i realise now it had also blocked payments on the site as well). Log in issue also now resolved. Not sure why but reactivating the licence keys seems to have done the trick. Will keep an eye on it and if any more problems shall let you know.
Thanks (and thanks for that pointer Dirk). I have found a couple of plugins that may do the job so will have a play. Thanks again
Hi Kor, Thanks for the reply- there are similar elements on my individual listings created via the settings on GD but am unsure as to how to get the same style tabs on the home page. Is this something already built-in on the platform (on the Pages section?)- or a plugin I need. If you can point me I the right direction I am sure I can work it out it’s just knowing where to look! Thanks
Excellent- thank you!
Ok so not all users see the same as me? Just I cleared all my checkout details from my history etc and it still shows the same (and I’ve never entered random text in fields before on mine or anny other sites so am unsure of the source!).
So basically if you were to view it as a third party user it just comes up with blank fields, or fields you’ve already completed with your own details- not the same nonsense i see?
Thanks
Hi Alex,
Yes i’ve cleared my browsing history, cache and auto-fill data and it still shows the same, and on my laptop as well.
This is the URL of the site for the initial stage of a listing (obviously this has to be created before it will allow for the billing details to be shown/ inputted) if you wanted to do a test run see what shows your end: https://www.liverylist.co.uk/add-your-yard/?listing_type=gd_place
Thanks
Ok thanks, i just need to get the FTP info from the hosts of the site so will come back to you as soon as I’ve got that. Thanks
Excellent- solved it thank you!
Thank- tried but didn’t work! Is it possible for the keywords option and where would I enter this (i wasn’t sure if the site even had a keywords option as i searched but couldn’t locate it!)?
Hi Kor, thanks for the reply. I think maybe i have mis-worded the original post. I have the info that i need to do this from Norton (see attached) but it is how I input either of these options into my WordPress site. I.e. i have the Meta tag but where on my site settings do i enter it “in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.” And is one of the options they propose more suitable than the other (i.e easier to do on my settings!) !! Thanks
Also, please could you advise where on the GD I can edit the ‘enquiry sent successfully’ message that appears on the listing sidebar when an enquiry has been sent as I cannot find this! Thanks
I have run some tests and set up a duplicate listing to see if this resolves. I have deduced that the error only occurs if the email entered in the enquiry form is a Hotmail address (com or co.uk). This seems to be the case for all enquires to all listings via the listing ‘send enquiry’ form. Everything else seems to be delivered even if the domain name is fictitious. I have tested with a VPN from various European locations and all are delivered except the hotmail ones? Any idea why this may be domain specific. It is the embedded ‘send enquiry’ contact form, on the listings.
Thanks
YOu can now ignore the reply above as I have re-posted the issue to the specific payment plugin support page. Thanks
Thanks Kor.
I have updated but it has removed all existing settings. When I have reinstated them as previous on the new plugin I have tested with a new listing submission. When it comes to PayPal (i have selected standard PayPal as the only payment gateway as that’s how it has always been) once the checkout process links through to PayPal it says “This feature is only available to Business and Premier Accounts.” I’ve never had an issue with this payment process before with my existing PayPal account (which is a business account) for either one-off or recurring payments.
When I go to the payment/ account settings on PayPal to set up just for PayPal payments (not cards) it says about working with a 3rd party payment host (assumed like the WP plugin) and then mentions permissions for API and API codes to integrate payments to the third party manager but I cannot see where this would be entered on the WP admin or even know if this is what needs doing.
Please advise as at the moment no payments can be processed via my website!
Yes, sorry my reply crossed over with the first response from Kor. I have cleared the GD Booster cache and that seems to have solved it. Thank you
