We’ve had the gd_loop_actions in the builder since the beginning of site development. What we are trying to do is hide the Grid view 1, 4 and 5 in the dropdown selector that are currently visible to the user on the front end.
The Grid View:1 produces a wonky layout (see attached image), as mentioned by other GD users in the forum, and View 4 & 5 don’t fit in our column width very well, so we just want Grid View List, 2 and 3 available to users to change their layout view.
We’ve got that code in the functions file. The last line of that code is what identifies which options should show:
‘gd_snippet_240619_layout_options’, 10, 2What we need to know is what number/numbers to replace the 10, 2 with to show View Grid:List, View Grid:2 and View Grid:3 selection options on the front end.
Thanks for your assistance!
Thanks!
Just a couple followup questions:
1) what steps do we need to take to prevent category-1 in our permalink, such as restaurants-1. All our categories have a -1 in the slug and I’m not tech savvy enough to know why.
2) Since the site is already live, when changing from the default permalink setting to a custom permalink, do I make that change first or change the CPT labels first? Thanks!
Hi Kor,
The issue doesn’t occur at page load, it occurs when:
1) you click the CPT selector arrow and the box pops up from the bottom to select events and the search bar shifts to the right.
2) you click in the From: Event Dates field and the search bar shifts left
3) click in the To: Event Dates field and the search bar shifts right
4) click in the near field and search bar shifts left
Any variation of those happens. Then you also have the problem of the keyboard popping up and covering the calendar.Below is the response I received from my web designer. I am viewing the site on a new iPhone Xs.
“A shift will also happen when elements are too wide for the screen. From your screenshot, the elements are not able to shrink any smaller & are still wider than your device. I’m not noticing any shift on mine.”
Does this make sense from your perspective relative to the calendar drop down from the search bar on mobile?
Thanks, team! We’ll look into it from here.

We have WP-Rocket installed and operational.I’ve provided a few reports, including GTmetrix and a copy of our Cache file optimization settings. Mobile cache is enabled. Cache lifespan is 10 hrs. Thanks!
Hi Kor,
Attached are screenshots of the datepicker on Safari and Chrome. My system is desktop iMac High Sierra OS, with Chrome browser version Version 75.0.3770.100; and MacBook Air 2015 with same browser settings. Same problem on both devices. Thanks!
Sorry, the intended image didn’t load correctly. Here’s that home page image of the datepicker with arrows missing.
Hello there!
Attached is another example of the date picker right and left arrows not displaying, this one on the home page. Presents impossibility for users to pick dates beyond the current month in the search bar.Since our site is live now, we’d sure appreciate your input on a fix for this. It is even occurring on the backend on the add new event editor.
Help!
Thanks!
We have added the snippets to the functions and did not get any errors. However, View Grid 1, 4 and 5 (the views we are attempting to hide) are still displaying on the front end. My developer is asking “what modifications are needed for their function in order to give the correct layout?”
Your link from above is no longer working: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/customizing/#custom-code
Thanks!
Hi guys,
Here is the response from my developer when they try to add the code you provided:
“This is a function, not CSS, and somewhere in the copy/paste ' replaced code. This takes your site down as is. Can you share it again with those codes replaced with whatever it should be?”Thanks!
