Sorry about that confusion. I forgot my password and used the social password instead. I will try to avoid that in the future.
Ok, I understeps 1-5 listed above. Group creation.. now it begs the question.. How does that work with the BP groups.
Is there some “setting” to make in GD to make it visible in the BP groups page? How do the two connect. GD Group syncs with BP groups?
I understand your steps 1-5 but I am missing how this integrates with Buddypress Group.
Thank you kindly.Thank you for the reply Guust. To my understanding setting bp group create to “allowed” is an all or nothing setting. Meaning if I “tick” the box to allow Group Creation the all users can create groups automatically.
I was wanting to know if GD had some form of group creation where admin can view and approve. Charge a fee too…
Thus far the only way to control the Group creation process is to us a form to collect the data and manually approve the group.
Yes. I can wait. And yes.. it certainly would be worth it Stiofan. Kind regards, much appreciated.
Marilyn there is another plugin for realestate that allows even for mls import. I am experimenting with multisite network with that particular plugin for real estate and this one for the business listing of business categories “other” than real estate. It seems that it will work… What I have done is to add a navigation menu item to go to the sub-domain realestate.domain.com in the network.
Thank you kindly.
OK..found how to add categories… close post
Ah.. found it. I do not have the Buddypress plugn installed but I do have the geobuddypress plugin installed. When I deactivated it the problem was solved.
My apologies.
Yes.. I have learned this lesson/concept. Themes networked activated = yes. geodir plugins networked activated = no. Thank you so much everyone for your help.
It’s all working now. I am learning. I should have stated that the site is multisite. In another forum post it was shared that I needed to “deactivate” the plugins in the Network Admin area and then activate them in the main site.
In addition, I learned I needed to download and install the “Post 2 Post” plugin in order to get the geodir plugin List to work. Can someone confirm this please? In some site installations I was prompted by wordpress at the very top of the page and others not.
The map is now centered and I am on my way to learning more now..
Thank all of you for your kind support. Kind regards,
Thank you, thank you.. thank you for your help. The problem regarding the widgets is solved. The menu I need still to set up also. Kind regards, appreciated
Update.. I am going to delete the subdomain and try it again. I was doing some php tweaking suggested for the mu installation to the .php file. I just attempted the sub-domain setup on another subdomain and it appears to have worked except for the menu? I will keep you posted.
Thank you Paolo.
I did not “understand” the Network activated vs. Not Networked activated. I thought that by ticking Network activate that this is how ‘all’ plugins worked.
Now it raised a question. Is this how all the plugins should be “ticked”? Then in this “select” plugins by sub-domain individually I can pick and chose?
Here is the good news. A “Page displayed” on the sub-domain site. The sample page. And the only page items visible are
Header banner
Background image
Footer
Sample pageThat is it.. no widgets or menus.
Ah.. The widgets are visible in the widget board area where all the other widget are displayed. I can drag or use the drop down to insert them into the frameworks designated locations. They do not display when I go to the front end of the web site..
Thank you.On the same server…I have just done another install and it works just fine. I will destroy the wordpress site entirely and start from scratch.
