Hi Alex,
Thank you for doing that, sorry about the confusion.
I see most of this is fixed but see a few images still are not correct, like both listings on this page: https://nhtourguide.com/wp/places/page/40/ – Checked on FireFox and IE with same results.
Its no big deal for me to fix a few of them manually at this point though. Just thought I would mention it in case something else was wrong.
Again, thank you!!!
Matt
ok will do, thank you!
Does the plugin still need to be installed after it is used for the conversion, or can it be deleted altogether?
March 5, 2020 at 11:22 pm in reply to: Directory Converter Plugin for PhpMyDirectory Logo Image Issue #533886Sorry but I think there is still some confusion on this. I think I have only been adding to this confusion being confused by it already and not having a good working understanding of how this new (to me) theme and plugins work just yet. Maybe using covered bridge pages are not helping since there are about 60 covered bridge pages on the site. But sticking with that for just a little longer to use the example links you sent above….
Sulphite Bridge appears in the Pages section here:
https://nhtourguide.com/wp/places/page/33/ (near bottom). The featured image is not correct.Once you click on the listing it takes you here:
https://nhtourguide.com/wp/places/sulphite-covered-bridge/ (note that the images on the top of the listing are correct. The covered part of the bridge is actually no longer there, just the old railroad tracks and the bridge deck remain. The logo image (featured image) that should appear on the Places page is here: http://nhtourguide.com/files/logo/65.jpg. The actual image that is appearing that is not correct is here: https://nhtourguide.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/65.jpg – This is the image that is showing that shouldn’t be. Both of those images have a file name of 65.jpg so I cannot upload the logo images or that will overwrite the existing 65.jpg. We previously discussed renaming the images so I did that. I added a prefix to all the logo images to make the file names unique, so now the logo image is “nh-65.jpg” – So I can upload these to the dated folder if needed, I would just have to change the links in the exported file. The problem now is that when I exported the file to change these links they are actually already linked correctly to the old PHPMyDirectory files, the link it just not working for some reason. In the export the link is /files/logo/65.jpg – I thought maybe I had to move the /files/ folder to the /wp/ folder where I have the new WordPress site, the GD themes and the GD plugins, but that also did not work.
I noticed in the export file that the links for the images for each listing use the entire url, but the column for the logo images do not.
Hopefully this doesn’t add to the confusion.
March 5, 2020 at 1:03 pm in reply to: Directory Converter Plugin for PhpMyDirectory Logo Image Issue #533746ok, I have that figured out but the problem with the featured image remains.
I have the two sets of logo images. One with their original file names, and ones that I renamed.
Which ones do I use?
Which folder do they go in?
March 4, 2020 at 5:28 pm in reply to: Directory Converter Plugin for PhpMyDirectory Logo Image Issue #533579Hi,
Thank you for the info!
I see the correct image on the edit page on the example you sent me for the “Logo” image on the edit screen but the problem I am still seeing is when you click on “Places” on the frontend of the site. Those images that are appearing for each place are not the right images.
March 4, 2020 at 3:20 pm in reply to: Directory Converter Plugin for PhpMyDirectory Logo Image Issue #533536Hi Alex,
I think I’m very confused…. these two lines from each of your last two posts is what I’m confused about.
“the file location (path) shown in the CSV is correct. It is up to you to upload the images to that location.”
“You will need to have the images located in the year/month folder. That is why you would want to rename them.”
The location in the export for “Logo” is not showing the uploads/year/month folder. Check my post #533307

March 3, 2020 at 3:22 pm in reply to: Directory Converter Plugin for PhpMyDirectory Logo Image Issue #533307Thanks Alex,
Last week I did move the folder over to the same directory as WordPress (see screenshot) but it still didn’t want to link up. Do I have the wrong folder?
In the export I see the “Post Images” are linked using the full url (ie: https://nhtourguide.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/132.jpg). But the “Logo” just uses the folder address for the link (ie: /files/logo/132.jpg). So I am not sure if I have the right folder or not.

I downloaded the export CSV file from the WordPress admin at GeoDirectory> Settings> Import/Export. When I opened the file I found that the PMD logo images that should be used for the GD featured image was actually linked correctly to the proper image file. They are linked to /files/logo/___.jpg in the database. Just for testing I moved the files/logo and files/images folders to the WP directory where my WordPress installation is, that did not work. I know it was a long shot but I tried it anyway. I then went to “Places” on the public side of the site and checked the featured image location to see where it was getting the images from. It says wp/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/ – So I am a bit confused why the database appears to be linking correctly but what is being displayed is different.
I looked through the CSV extensively to see if maybe these images were coming from somewhere else. I searched for the file name (ie: 138.jpg, 140.jpg, 165.jpg, etc) but all searches only produced one result, not two as I expected.

February 29, 2020 at 2:33 pm in reply to: Directory Converter Plugin for PhpMyDirectory Logo Image Issue #532929Thanks Alex! Just for future reference if anyone else runs into this..
I changed the image file names manually using my Windows desktop folder view and changed the window settings under “Change Your View” to “Details”. From there I just used copy/paste to add the same prefix to each image. The tab button brings you down the list and automatically puts you into edit file name mode. It only took me about 30 minutes to edit 400 image file names.
February 29, 2020 at 1:33 am in reply to: Directory Converter Plugin for PhpMyDirectory Logo Image Issue #532883The import, meaning the PMD conversion import? All I have done so far is convert the PMD database and moved over the images from PMD in the files>images folder. This is what gave me all the wrong logo (featured) images. When I looked into it deeper I realized what was going on. I then checked the PMD folder files>logo and saw those were also numbered in sequence 1-400 so I know these will want to overwrite the images from files>images I brought over to the GD site since they all have the same file names.
February 28, 2020 at 9:31 pm in reply to: Directory Converter Plugin for PhpMyDirectory Logo Image Issue #532844Ok, so this will need to be done manually to each of the 400 images, and manually to each of the 400 listings in the exported csv file?
Just want to be sure I am understand this correctly before I do this amount of work.
