    Hi Alex,

Not sure if I understand what you mean. The images are already linked to each listing. Both in the PMD site and the WP site.

A good example would be here:
https://nhtourguide.com/wp/places/page/4/ – at the bottom of the page there is a listing for Ripley Falls in Harts Location NH. The photo you see there is wrong. Its the inside of a cruise ship on Lake Winnipesaukee that was used in a different listing that PMD numbered 369.jpg. The image file is located here: https://nhtourguide.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/369.jpg.

If I upload the images from the PMD folder for logos (https://ayecode.b-cdn.net/files/logo/369.jpg) it will show the correct image but then it will overwrite the image where it is used correctly here: https://nhtourguide.com/wp/places/ms-mount-washington-cruise-ship-on-lake-winnipesaukee-2/ (its the 14th image in the top display).

So the images on the new GD website are linked to the same image already. I would need to change the file name, or probably easier to change the folder name so I could just upload both 369.jpg images, one in each folder for them to appear correctly.

    Hi,

The site can be seen at https://nhtourguide.com/wp

I really can’t think of any screenshots that would be helpful.

The images and logo images are from a backup of the old PHPMyDirectory website. The images are in files/images and the logo images are in files/logo.

When using PHPMyDirectory and add images they rename the image file automatically in both folders and rename each one with a number starting at 1.jpg, then the next image you add is 2.jpg and so on. The problem is that this happened in each of the two folders so if I try to upload them into a single WP folder like uploads/2020/01 the first set of uploads will be fine, but then when I try to upload the second PMD folder of images they will end up overwriting the images I previously uploaded.

    Ok thanks!!

Not sure what happened with the images not transferring.

I just noticed that there are duplicates of the posts imported from PMD also.

All in all it is great to have the conversion tool! Its great I don’t have to copy/paste almost 400 pages! Don’t want anyone to think I’m complaining! I have a few more conversions I have to do so I am learning and I understand this is a new tool. I appreciate all the help!!

Thank you for your help. I am still having issues with the theme after running the setup wizard but I’m sure its something I am doing wrong. I will go back through the documentation on that.

As far as the images there is a bit of a conflict as the PhpMD structure has the images in public_html\files\images\ and the main photo for each listing (the “Logo”) is in this folder: public_html\files\logo\ – The problem is that PhpMD numbered them in order in each folder so now I have duplicate file names that are trying to overwrite when I put them all in the same folder within GD. Any ideas how to fix easily or will I need to rename them?

I was able to get the converter to work. I reinstalled the core PMD files, and the “files” folder from the last backup I had of the functioning website which has the images and logos in it for the listings. At first it wouldn’t work but it ended up being the php version needed to be set at 5.6

Everything converted into WP but I don’t see the images/logo links are broken, and the links are broken to the listings (404 errors). I have WP in its own folder named “wp” while the PHPMD files are in root.

    I will send a new login…

    Hi,

Thank you for the info! I will play around with it for a few minutes to see if I can get it to convert before I reset WP. I forgot about the media files, thank you for reminding me.

    I was using PHPMD 1.5.3

I have a few other directories that use PHPMD that also need to be converted, those are slightly older versions of PHPMD.

I will let you know how it goes…

Also, Check the screen shots for the converter I attached. The plugin wants a license for auto updates but “license not required” shown in my account.

Hmmm, not seeing any users besides myself. The only listings were imported demos I believe.

    Hi, thank you!

This is a clean install (I believe). The public site is and html site. The WordPress is in its own folder to be worked on until ready to replace the old site.

Have you heard anything from the developers about whether the PHPMyDirectory site files have to be on the server?
