yes i understand its tricky but i wonder how others handle it.. here it is not on import. user just entered ‘area, city’ and this is what we get in multiple…. any thoughts on how to avoid displaying duplicates in such cases

Dear Naveen i’m afraid not. you are using poor examples of address and even in this case. the city and the country are duplicated and look awkward because you have street address mandatory.

please find attached. in a case of event the city and country are not removed from address line but are copied over to the fields below and in the detail screen, as a result are duplicated. for the place, on import, the street remains while the city, country zip are removed and moved to the fields below. see examples.

HI Alex here’s a public one. the address definitely does a different thing than in ‘add places’ https://www.facebook.com/events/3106147422803202/?event_time_id=3121402134611064

I think it does assign it but it displays just the city and the country… is there a way to identify when that happens (user enters the just the city and country) and only display the ‘address’ rather than the index region etc?

    HI guust,

so see how GD displays Paris, France, Paris, Île-de-France, 75004, France… (address, city, region, zip, country) IN case where the user just put in France, Paris (general city not precise address) It looks so awkward.

If you do the same thing in google, FB any other app with address they do not assign and display region, zip, country for those cases…. see attached.

anything in GD that would allow for this?

thank you. hiding it won’t work because I would want them to display across locations…. basically ‘if there isn’t a location for this event – display’

I’ll have a chat for customization, but I think this will become increasingly more important and something to consider .
