My best guess is similar website as big as yelp and airbnb will get written consent and pay (big money) for the service.
Unless they wrote it wrong, the new TOS doesn’t live much space to interpretation:
This time it doesn’t talk about Google Places only, but Google Maps Core Services
(iii) use the Google Maps Core Services in a listings or directory service
According to their new TOS Google Maps Core Services include:
Directions API
Distance Matrix API
Geocoding API
Geolocation API
Maps Embed API
Maps Elevation API
Maps JavaScript API
Maps SDK for Android
Maps SDK for iOS
Maps Static API
Places API for Web
Places Library, Maps JavaScript API
Places SDK for Android
Places SDK for iOS
Roads API
Street View API
Time Zone APISource : https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/terms/maps-services/
We use most of them in a listings or directory service, so…
MapBox is another valid alternative https://www.mapbox.com/pricing/
However they use OSM technology, so if it is confirmed that we need to get rid of Google Maps, I think we should definitely look into investing everything into OSM and continue providing a free tool to our users.
Thanks
Hi Craig,
I replied here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/changes-to-google-maps-platform-terms-of-service/#post-433651
Let’s keep the conversation about the new terms on that post.
Thanks!
Hi Craig,
I have to admit that I didn’t dive deeply enough into the new terms of service as I did for the price changes, so this is the 1st time I’m reading that part.
I’m not a lawyer too, but I came to the same conclusion as you. It appears that Google doesn’t want developers to use the maps API to create directories just like we do.
I’ll discuss this with a lawyer asap to see if we have to ditch Google Maps for good, fortunately we have the integration with Open Street Map that is already in place.
We’ll also look which other maps options we have.
I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks for bringing this up, we only have 9 days, but we won’t get to the deadline completely unprepared.
Cheers!
June 3, 2018 at 12:59 am in reply to: Near Me search – user position does not change on new search #433295There is no way to do something similar. Google Geolocation service wasn’t designed to follow your movements. It was design to get your position once, when authorized by the user.
You’d need to close your session, access the website again and re-authorize the browser to share your location to get your new position.
Thank you
Thanks
Glad to hear you could join, thanks for choosing us, however I’m sorry to inform you that we don’t provide customization services, nor special level of support.
This is our support policy https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/
If you wish to hire someone to help you build your directory, I’d suggest to look here https://geodirectoryexperts.com
Thanks again
Google is smarter than that. It understands the difference between the text of a button and the actual content of a page, unlike the tools that you mentioned.
Otherwise shop archives would fight for who rank better for the keywords “buy now” instead of ranking for the product they sell.
However if you think that will really affect your rankings, you could modify the templates and turn all texts into icons or remove them completely.
Thanks
Hi, please select the (single) option. It does not require a credit card on file.
See image attached.
Thanks
1st find the payment gateway that can process credit cards in your country, then select a full stack developer. Here there are some https://geodirectoryexperts.com
The doc to follow is https://wpinvoicing.com/docs/creating-a-payment-gateway/
Thanks
You should have mentioned that. I don’t think we have any online payment gateway that will work in your country. You can probably only collect money via bank transfer or have a custom payment gateway developed for you.
Thanks

All our membership come with limited time support and updates (like 99% of products in the WordPress market today).
This is clear in our membership page that Guust linked, both in the pricing table and the FAQ below the prcing table.
Nothing changed there other than prices, since the very beginning.
Thanks
I flagged it for the developers, they’ll let you know asap.
The Stripe add-on inlcuded in your membership will help you accepting credit cards directly on your website.
You can go here to find the download link: https://wpinvoicing.com/your-account/
Let us know if you have further questions about this.
Thanks
You’d need to find the email associated with the account that bought your license for us to be able to investigate.
Let us know,
Thanks
This plugin is breaking things, Mobile Contact Bar.
Not our update.
I deactivated it and all icons of the theme are back.
Thanks
