What Kor suggests is correct and the only qway to do it. It should be a quick enough thing to do too.
You just need to export, change the post type and add the events dates and time, before re-importing.

It is not possible to make it mandatory. That is not a normal field of the add listing form.
I don’t think it is possible to do that with PHP, you can definitely do that with JavaScript.

this is a customization and it is considered beyond support. Here you can find developers that would be more than happy to assist you adding buttons to your theme.

No 1 app should be enough to import both. However now facebook is asking to submit all apps for review. Did you go through that process?
Let us know…You shouldn’t really need a different plugin to create classifieds. With the custom post type add-on you can create a listing type classified with all custom fields needed.

Shouldn’t GeoDirectory’s search functionality the most powerful part of GD? And for the purpose of a relatively small compared to google directory, shouldn’t GD be as good if not better than basically free alterantives like google.
Are you suggesting that a $199/year directory script should be able to outperform the searching features of the biggest tech corporation of the planet?

You can use the favorite system for that. The list plugin is to list places you reviewed (is a clone of a yelp feature).

just FYI : Latest BETA released yesterday should be the last before a release candidate. We are already working on the add-ons. I believe it’ll take another couple of months before everything we’ll be out in their final stable release.
