why there are blank field in your selection tool?
What version of prices and payments are you using?November 26, 2014 at 11:18 pm in reply to: Suggestions for a Classifieds Plugin to Use with GD #22786Hi,
go to GD >> Design >> Navigation.
You can do both things.
Thx
It doesn’t work that way.
Hooks allow you to modify GeoDirectory templates and extend the GeoDirectory functions.
Not to extend/mix other themes and plugins.
Anyway, I’ve just checked in our Enfold demo, and the Masonry element already supports custom post types by default from the advanced layout builder.
http://dropct.com/enfold/blog/masonry-blog/
The problem is that you won’t be able to filter the listing in any way other than just displaying them all. I don’t think it will filter locations for example.
If you want to do that, you have to modify the masonry element, but I suspect it would be easier to turn the regular GD archive into a masonry element instead.
Thx

November 26, 2014 at 10:09 pm in reply to: Suggestions for a Classifieds Plugin to Use with GD #22776Hi,
each Custom post type has it’s own page.
each widget instance can be limited to 1 CPT (or even 1 category)I think that a classified section of the website can be done with a Custom post type and 1 custom field for the price.
What would you feel that is missing or wouldn’t work?
Thx
Hi,
the only times I’ve experienced something similar is when I tried sharing a brand new post from a blog that wasn’t crawled frequently by search engine.
Bascially if Google hadn’t indexed the page, the link shared was appearing with no image, just like yours. Once the page was index by major search engine, facebook was adding the image too.
I don’t know if this has to do with Bing (which is partner with FB) or exactly why this is happening, but I did recreate the exact same thing on your website.
This URL is still not indexed by any search engine:

This URL is indexed: http://www.inenglish.biz/listing/france/limousin/boussac/leisure/gems-and-crystals/

I don’t think it is anything we can fix on our side though. One thing you should fix instead are locations. You have some “all” locations that will confuse the system.
GeoDirectory should be used only with real locations.
You should also add the location switcher somewhere, or ppl will not be able to browse your website correctly.
Thanks
November 26, 2014 at 9:28 pm in reply to: Suggestions for a Classifieds Plugin to Use with GD #22765Hi,
that is not a classified plugin, but a directory plugin and it doesn’t seem like it does anything that you can’t already do with GD.
I’m sure with the CPT addons you can create a Classified post type with all the required custom fields to add Classifieds to your website.
I’m 99.99% sure that this plugin isn’t comaptible with GD.
Thx
Hi,
only post_locations should be changed.
I can’t really help with SQL, not my main field…
Thx
Is video enalbed for the price assigned to that listing?
Hi,
please provide URL and wp admin credentials in a private reply. We can’t debug images.
Thank you
HI,
can you try now?
Clear your browser cache before refreshing.
I had disabled googlemaps for that plugin thinking that was the problem, but the problem was in the theme and after fixing it I forgot to re enable the maps for the event manager.
Let us know,
Thx
we looked into it, but didn’t include it in this release.
The way CPT details are stored in the database (to avoid all the joins needed with the default wordpress db structure), doesn’t allow to perform a search on all CPTs without having to do 1 query for the main search and another query for each result, to get the info needed to order/sort them.
Example : for a search page with 10 results, we would need 11 queries.
That could be extremely slow and considering that this is the case for both search results and map results, we would avoid this.
Another option would be to create a new table (a big one) that would be the sum of all GD CPT tables used only in case someone wants to search in all CPT.
It will still be slower than a regular search, but probably a bit better than the 1st option.
In any case, this can only be worked on in the next batch of releases and now in the upcoming one, because in any case it would require a lot of extra code.
Thanks
Hi,
the 1st bug was due to GD-Booster, not multilocation and a quick tweak already solved it. Thanks for spotting it. (we didn’t test enough as logged out users.)
I think location switcher you should make 1 search field suggest location
This is how it works, the near field now allows to switch location too.
W3TC is not 100% compatible with GD and it will never be unless the plugin author starts tweaking his plugin to easily work with GD. Given that I doubt that will ever happen, we developed GD-Booster. If you wish to keep using w3tc instead, that’s your choice.
Thx
Hi,
please wait until latest is released.
Thx
Hi,
we don’t have an ETA yet, but it should be fairly soon.
Thx
