He needs to at least enter the City name in the address field and select: country, region, city, ZIP code and set address on map to obtain lat and long coordinates.

Did you create neighbourhoods? Google Maps doesn’t provide data for that, so they must be created.
1) can you provide a link of a page where the widget is added or provide wp admin credentials so that we can have a look at your backend?
2) You will need the share location addon for that.

the all location page is a normal page with this shortcode in it:
[geodir_location_switcher]
You can check in the multilocation code how that is created, to try to recreate the links as navigation links.
Personally I’m not sure I would be able to accomplish that myself without some help, so I can’t really help you with any more tips.
Just FYI, if the 12 cities are in the same region, you can define the default country and region and limit the directory to that area. That way country/region fields will disappear from location switcher, add listing page and anywhere else.

The addon is 99% done, as well as several new things. Given the amount of new features and bug fixed, we will initially release them in beta at the beginning of next week.
Depending on the number of members that will beta test and report feedback and new bugs, making it stable should take maximum another week, after the beta has been released.

no that is not possible without modifying the addons code.
In the next version, GeoLocation is merged with advance search addon and autocompleter in 1 powerful addon.
We added an option to disable auto geolocation on page load and also a widget showing a button that can manually trigger it.
With it, you will be able to disable geolocation for all and add the button to manually trigger it, visible only in mobile view (css tweak).
Hope that can be a viable solution.

The ocation Switcher redirects to a URL and set a PHP Session that is essential for queries to work.
Using direct links in a menu wont work properly.

the way you added what Guust suggested is wrong. I don’t even know how you manage to add it there… Please remove it.
