Hi,
you don’t need to download wordpress on your computer. Just the translation file that you find in pluginsgeodirectorygeodirectory-languagesgeodirectory-en_US.po
Open it with poedit (you need to download and install that too) and follow the procedure.
For more information : http://codex.wordpress.org/Translating_WordPress
We use wordpress standards, so the procudere is the same…
Thx
Hi,
actually it gives me an internal server error no matter what page of your website I try to visit, except most dashboard pages. It seems to be unable to manage permalinks and any kind of rewrites, other than having permission problems.
Where you able to see the website with only wordpress and a default theme installed?
Instead of trying to make a LAMP application like wordpress run on a windows server, that could be source of infinite problems, I’d move to a LAMP server.
See here for better explanation: http://zachis.it/blog/7-dangers-of-using-windows-server-on-a-wordpress-installation/
Have you consider it?
Thx
It’s a shortcode it could be used anywhere were a shortcode can be added.
Text widgets, pages, posts. Not in the menu though, unless you add a widget at the end of your menu and shrink your menu so that they both fit in one line.
This would require a theme files customization.
Thanks
Hi,
GeoTheme and GeoDirectory are completely different products with unique database structures.
I’ll ask Vikas to point you in the right direction.
Thx
Hi Jason,
sorry for the change-logs not updated.
That’s my fault, I totally forgot to take care of it. Will do asap…
Yes in the new version we changed it so that it works as suggested in this topic.
No need to change template file names when moving them from the plugin to the child theme, but yes they need to be in a folder called geodirectory to be used.
see image attached…
…and the result : http://wpgeo.directory/?geodir_signup=true (you need to be logged out to see it)
p.s. beware, few tamplate names have been changed…
Good to know thanks, it should be easier to track it down.
Vikas will let you know, probably not before monday though. In India is almost already Sunday…
Thx
You’re welcome!
I tested on our demo and I doesn’t seem to be able to reproduce this: http://wpgeo.directory/all-locations/
My best guess would be that the problem is generated by the domain in cyrillic charachters, but I really don’t know.
I flagged this for VIkas to follow up.
Thanks for you patience.
That’s not going to work for you.
Pix3x is talking about a plugin that hooks into wp_list_category. The list of catgeory available on your website.
While what you are looking for is CSS to arrange the list of catregories and checkboxes to select categories in your add listing page.
I can already tell you that you will not find a plugin to do that…
Thx
Please see attached file. It is functions.php of the GDF child theme of our demo…
I just renamed it to txt so that I could attach it.
Thx
Hi again,
in GeoDirectory >> Design >> Listings >> New listing default status
To change listing “owner” and allow someone else to edit it, go to Places (or any CPT) and click quick edit below any listing.
Change the author by selecting a new one from the drop-down list.
See image attached.
Thx
Thank you, same to you!
What event price package are you using?
In your settings the free package doesn’t allow for videos and special offers.
Let me know,
Hi,
that’s a bug in GDF.
You can fix adding this to your child theme functions.php for now:
remove_all_filters('wp_title');
I asked Stiofan to fix it in the main theme too.
Thanks
HI,
I see nothing of what you are describing.
If I visit your home page I’m not redirected anywhere, I see the home page.
If I change location it changes location normally.
Did you clear your browser cache after updates?
Thx
