GD search only in the location selected.
Changing the location is like changing website… You are using the search form of the Buenavista Park directory.
Hope it’s clear…
Working now.
Two settings problems, you had 500 miles as search radius, if someone is searching something “Near” a specific place, why would you want him to get results from 500 miles away?
Giving such a big radius was making the query fail. I set 40 miles which is more than reasonable for a proximity search.
Sorting fields. You had Featured set as default. That was making the Buena Park result go down to 5th position…
If you want results by proximity, there shouldn’t be a default sorting option (like now on your website)…
Thx
Hi,
please go here: http://www.ipadpeek.com/
Select phone portrait and enter your website address.
This is what both Stiofan and I see. Is this different from what you see?
Thx
there is no file Manilaboy, I thought you had the file in the child theme because it was throwing an error and we have changed some template files.
1 file was still called with the old name and throwing error.
We are fixing it, there will be another update in 1 minute.
@manilaboy, you won’t find it, I actually find a bug in the core… We are fixing it.
Sorry
@nasc, core update is made via wordpress.org, addons via this website.
Other users are being able to update, so I guess the username and password entered there are not really correct…
Please try again and if it fails again I’ll flag it for Stiofan.
Thanks
Make sure to remove that file from your child theme anyway, or your website will not work…
Please rename the file geodir_signup.php to geodir-signup.php in your child theme (or remove it) and send me wp admin credentials.
If I search for ” ” in San Francisco in demo it works.
It could be some wrong settings…
You haven’t updated any of the Addons Nasc…
… and the screenshot you attached is telling you why.
Wrong username and password in the autoupdate page of GeoDirectory.
Go to GeoDirectory >> Autoupdates and add your correct username and password, the same that you use to access this forum…
Let us know,
Thx
Just tested search on your website for a listing that I see in home page and it works.
Please make a precise example of a search query not working properly.
The icon issue was brought yesterday, we need some times to fix stuff and we can’t keep delaying releases.
I know Vikas already looked into it and he will fix that in a future release…
Thanks
nice looking website… and potentially great niche!
.nav { width: 66%; } header nav .nav li a:hover { color: red; }
change color to what you like… if you want you can also change background color on hover…
Good luck!
Hi jltrinka,
Stiofan is updating GDF as we speak. The mobile problem wasn’t due to core plugin or any addon.
The new version should be up in about 15 minutes…
Thanks for you patience
you need to click attractions. That map defaults to hotels and there are no hotel listings in sanfran.
See image attached
Hi,
I was just testing CSV upload to confirm that locations are added via bulk upload too and uploaded the golden gate bridge to San Francisco.
I missed to add a category to that place, reason why you see no results found…
If you visit it back now and click on attractions you will see it.
In my opinion this is confirmation that our geolocation works better than Weedmaps. GeoDirectory takes you to the closest city with places, while Weedmaps takes me to where I am even if there are no places…
Thanks
At the moment yes, GeoDirectory maps and listings pages can only show places from 1 location or all locations with everywhere in place.
They don’t show places of nearby locations.
The only thing that I can think of that would make what you’re looking for possible is to allow admin to set geolocation on region/country level instead of single city…
I’ll ask Vikas if it’s feasible…
