    Curiouser and curiouser.. I just ran another migration and the geodir_cp_link_posts table doesn’t exist at all.

    I do wonder if it’s something to do with packages, and or the non-creation of the appropriate custom field to link them before populating the data.

    Dang I was really hoping to get this done over the weekend. I’ll run a few more test upgrades and see if I can work out the pattern. Thanks!

    Rather.. there is *some* data in geodir_cp_link_posts, but the linkedID doesn’t exist.

    I can give you a login too, but:

    gd_blogs -> links to -> gd_places
    gd_events -> links to -> gd_places

    But when I upgrade to v2, that connection is gone.

    1. It doesn’t set up the custom field to reflect how the linking works in v2
    2. If you add the custom field ‘Linked post: places’ the data doesn’t show
    3. The connections don’t exist in the geodir_cp_link_posts table

    I’ve not, but to be clear the problem is the width. It *should* be 100% but isn’t.

    Just to nudge on this one — the templating limitations with avada are very definitely an issue – the hierarchy just doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. Which means that one has to rely on standard sidebar styling, which isn’t as powerful as the shortcodes.

    Avada is, let’s not forget, the best selling wp theme of all time…

    ah found that some of the error is re json file type — fix: define(‘ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS’, true)

    BUT.. it’s a bit odd that settings does NOT include the things which take time to set up, to wit the CPT and custom fields. Really odd, in fact.

    Ok the country errors I resolve by turning the “require location” off and on again.

    By the class-wp-query error is still there. If I run on a fresh install, however, it is not. So it seems there’s something about the upgrade process which is faulty.

    Now *that* is great thinking! Thank you — great solution!

    However.. there are no pagination options — is that something that’s coming, or you can you think of a workaround for?

    So if you have a tba which shows linked content, it seems to max out, and also offer no styling options.

    Must have: pagination / link to more
    Nice to have: styling options, filter

    Really badly. We tried an import direct to sql and basically it didn’t work as well as it should because we missed fields. I was hoping to start over and take the data we have a CSV and import it.

    In the csv the data is linked id comma separated values in one cell, referencing the ID of the linked item, ie.

    ID | Title | type | linked
    1 | oneone | gd_place |
    2 | twotwo | gd_place |
    3 | threet | gd_bblog | 1
    4 | fourfo | gd_bblog | 7
    5 | fivefi | gd_bblog | 2
    6 | sixsix | gd_event | 5,2
    7 | sevens | gd_event | 2
    8 | eighte | gd_event | 1
    9 | nineni | gd_event | 1

    it should be 100% wide (since it’s using the 100% template) — and it’s not.

    Thanks for looking at this today!
