Also happens on a Mac. I would love to see what you guys see on this site if it is different to what I showed in the video?
Is there a time-frame for releasing an update to this?
If not imminent, John can you at least tell me what you changed, a few days ago, to get the home page breadcrumb bar where I want it?
TIA
Surely the rating system is meant to indicate which sites we like for other people to see? I think of “Favorites” as bookmarks, but I’m not into Facebook 🙂
How come we can see someone else’s favorites? Shouldn’t we have to be logged in as a particular user to see that user’s favorites?
Or am I misunderstanding these links?
The reason why the location switcher is difficult to use is because it is a “combo” box – a drop list with an entry field. So the droplist drops and the entry field appears which triggers the device keyboard to open on the screen partially hiding the droplist on my device.
On one device the droplist appeared completely off the screen and couldn’t be selected.
Used another computer, used different browsers, turned off anti-virus, I might try it from an internet cafe! Actually, I’m seeing a friend tonight who uses a Mac, I’ll try it there.
I see the same thing on your site.
And, I just got a link to this…

In my case the I think the problem is due to whatever the js does to select/validate the city and the mismatched locations are caused by Google not getting the correct city, or not being sent a city at all.
I’m finding it such a trial to set the city that I have disabled the js and I’m testing a simple droplist to make the city selection more straightforward.
That suits my site where I only have a dozen or so cities that are eligible to be listed and I don’t need/want users putting in other cities.
You could test the theory by logging the Google API requests vs the responses received.
I’ll let you know if my changes cause any matching problems.
I do, I have a clean install running 2012 and it is the same.
Thanks Vikas, yep, lookin’ good!
What did you do to fix it, I need to make the same change to my local host install?
I added some js to the add_listing page. It renames the class for the select control and effectively disables all the js for this control. So now it just works as a regular droplist with the existing values from my locations.
Suits my needs, maybe a bit heavy handed?

Thanks very much to you all for testing!
I don’t know why I am seeing something completely different, I will upload a video.
And thanks for pointing out the missing images, I had a look last night using a mobile phone and had no logo on the site, now I know why! 🙂
