This might seem obvious, but if a user doesn’t press the “Set Address on Map” button, or drag the icon to their address then the lat and lon remain set on the default location even if they have entered a valid address.

Is there some way to fire the “Set Address on Map” functionality whenever a listing is added, or updated so that the lat and lon are updated to the correct values?

+1 on this. Having massive issues with this, and the addresses being automatically changed after clicking the button.

    Hi,

I agree, but I think lat and long should be blank until the user drags the marker or clicks on set address on map button.

If user doesn’t do either thing, validation doesn’t let him proceed and highlights the error. (just like if he doesn’t add title or category…)

I think this would be the best approach, because triggering it when the add listing button is click, wouldn’t give the user the chance to correct in case the data pulled from Google Maps API are wrong for any reason.

He would have to click the edit link to go back and fix it.

I’m adding this as a task for Vikas to add on next version.

    Thx

Yeah, that sounds better, or check if the default lat and lon have been changed by the user.
