Thank you for spotting that for us. We were unaware the core plugin update would remove the homepage setting.
Glad it was a quick fix.
Much appreciated!

Keep up the great work and customer service!

Thank you…having all the Featured ads listed is important since the advertisers paid for their ads to be ‘featured’ on our home page. A quick fix would be tremendous. Keep me posted.
This reply has been marked as private.PS…thank you for adding the end date to listings that run more than one day. That makes the end users (advertisers) happy.
After running the most recent Events add-on update (Version 1.2.7), the “GD events listing” widget is not correctly filtering ‘Featured’ ads. In my current directory, there are three Featured ads (these are paid for ads on my site). When configuring the GD Events Listing widget, I have selected to filter by ALL categories / Featured ads / Upcoming. The results only show one of the three featured ads. Two other non-featured ads appear as well (set the ‘Number of Posts’ field to 3).
In the previous version of the Events add-on, all 3 Featured ads appeared correctly. The only variable that changed was updating the Events add-on to v 1.2.7.
See the attached images for widget config and actual post results.
Is there a way to fix this?
Discovered one more thing. When using the “GD events listing” widget and setting the number of Featured posts to 5 (can be any number), GD will show the featured ads as expected, but then it will display non featured ads if the number of featured ads is less than 5 (see attachment).
Is there a way to display just Featured ads and nothing else even when the featured ad count is less than the configured 5? (ex: if there are currently three featured ads, just display the three featured ads and nothing else)
Again, we are using Featured Ads as a payment option and it would not be fair for other ads that did not pay to be displayed as well.
Thanks again!
Thanks for talking to the developers, that is really appreciated. I did try the recurring event option, but it displays the ad twice instead of once. With limited room on the home page for featured ads, that options won’t work.
I appreciate the help with trying to correct this. I’ll look forward to a potential end date enhancement from the developers.
Thanks!
Thanks Paolo for the response.
We tested the GD Events Listing widget and it showed the event date and time. That’s good.
However, if the event runs for two days (ex: October 24 – October 25) the second date doesn’t show (see an actual occurrence of this in the attached image — this listing is for a two-day event).
The advertiser would like both dates shown so site visitors are aware that it is a two-day event (makes sense and I would want that too if I was an advertiser with a two-day event).
Is there a way for the second date to be displayed without submitting the event twice? (multiple submission would be cumbersome and frustrating to the advertisers).
Please advise.
Thanks!
Guust,
That worked! Thanks again for the quick response.Thank you Guust for the quick response!
I found those settings and activated the address field in the Listings result view.
That being said, is there a way to just show the City and Region or at least
-
not
show the Country (ads limited to just one country).
Thanks for all your help!
Hi Paolo,
Thank you very much for you help and support!Interesting though, we did not manually edit the .htaccess file. The 3 things we did to the site was update plugins (including the recent GD updates), switched domain name, and search and replace domain name references.
Not sure what would cause that modification, but we are very happy you located and fixed the issue.
Thank you so much for your impressive response time and support.
This reply has been marked as private.Have you checked GD > Permalinks > Pages?
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-permalinks/#pagesYes Guust, we went through the GD Permalinks to the best of our understanding. That didn’t change the blank location page results.
