I am still unable to upload a CSV file. I changed to LibreOffice as per your suggestion Simone, re-created the file and had the same results. Paolo, again, your answer confused me, you wrote “Should be : post-title” but when I look at the downloaded sample file the header is post_title, not post-title, they are different, no? or is there something I don’t understand? I have uploaded dozens of CSV files to GD using OpenOffice without a single problem. I have been using the CSV format for many years in many different environments and and never experienced such “sensitivities” that makes simple upload of text data so complicated as to require certain ‘brands’ of spreadsheet programs. Any ideas why I am suddenly having these problems? I will attach the LibreOffice file in private message.
Paolo – I don’t understand, the column headers came from the sample file that is downloaded from CSV Upload page, and the first column, for example, is not “post-title” but “post_title” … here is a copy and paste of the headers of the downloaded file:
post_title,post_author,post_content,post_category,post_tags,post_type,geodir_video,post_address,post_city,post_region,post_country,post_zip,post_latitude,post_longitude,geodir_timing,geodir_contact,geodir_email,geodir_website,geodir_twitter,geodir_facebook,IMAGE,IMAGE,IMAGE,IMAGE,IMAGE

This reply has been marked as private.I think the problem with creating this tool has to do with the address data – in Geotheme the Country, Region, State and Zip data is all in one field, that doesn’t work for Geodirectory which needs them to be separate and I doubt there’s a simple (or even possible) way to parse the data, so… we’ll probably never see that tool! I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt it 🙁

I don’t know why the available updates are not showing in the plugin list… I double-checked my login details for auto-update and its correct, and updates show for other plugins. curious. – Sal
