No, I don’t, which is why I had selected the location page there under Geodirectory > permalinks.
However, all is good now – the home page is as I want it, and I have title tags showing the proper location on the location page.
Thanks for figuring it out!
Thank you very much! Yes, now it works.
I thought I should select GD Home page only if I wanted that page to actually be the home page of the site, as I interpreted the following statement in your doc to mean that:
Choose your directory start page here (this is not always the same as the homepage of your website):
1. If you want to use one of your normal WordPress pages for the homepage of your website, then select the GD Location page here.
2. Choose GD Home Page if you want your directory home page to be the home page of your website. But changing that settting didn’t change the home page, so I’m happy that it resolved this issue with the title tag.
Thanks a lot!
Please note that Location Manager is updated to 1.5.50. There is the older version of Location Manager there (I updated this time for simplicity’s sake through FTP), but as you can see it is not active.
The active version is 1.5.50. And it did not produce a proper title tag for the Location page.
Everything is updated now. But no change in the title tag.
It’s updated now, but with no changes in the title tages.
This reply has been marked as private.I have looked at those instructions.
These are my settings for Location page meta title:
%%title%% %%location%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%But it only produces “Location | Sithonia Greece”, (see link http://sithoniagreece.com/location/sithonia/neos-marmaras/) even though I have filled out the Meta Title in GeoDirectory > Multilocations > SEO settings for that location.
Why doesn’t it affect the title tag?
Thankful for any help

Also, while I can see the wp-admin bar on top (while logged in) on other pages, it doesn’t show on the location page.Could it be something that got changed in the Apache update yesterday?
I’m sorry, I don’t understand. Now I should have use_cookies = On?
What is causing the problem with the location page? Yesterday they updated to Apache 2.4 for me, could that have messed some settings up? I’m really at a loss now, the location page is a mess.
From my hosting:
>>php.session.use_cookies = Off
I have turned off use cookies option server wide as per your request.
>>php.session.use_only_cookies = Off
This option is already set to off on your server.
That doesn’t really change anything, and I’m ready to give up on the issue.
But I’m now facing a more serious problem. Don’t know what happened, but I urgently need your help!
Something has been changed and the location page is not working properly.
See http://sithoniagreece.com/location/sithonia/neos-marmaras/
None of the submenus from the navbar show (but they work fine on all other pages)
Also, only one listing is shown – though there are 3 popular post view widgets that each should produce up to 4 listings. Clicking on “Stay” and “Eat” in the main menu properly produces those listings. It’s just the location page not showing properly.Any idea what happened?
So I think I have figured it out…
It seems that the browser (not the server) is storing the cookie, giving the result of a user being logged in, though he is not. Thankfully if the browser is shut down and restarted, these cookies are cleared and the register and forgot password links work as normal. So, it’s only in case a user logs out and immediately asks for a new password that the problem will be displayed. That’s probably not very likely. He was just logged in, why would he ask for a password again?
It’s more likely he would return to the site after some time, and not remembering his password he asks for a new one. But since time has gone by, chances are he has meanwhile restarted his browser (which cleared the user-cookie) and so the login page should display properly.
I’m even tempted to say that my problem isn’t unique, the same issue would probably happen on the other +10,000 sites if those links are clicked right after a user has logged out. But since that isn’t likely to happen often, you haven’t received any complaints…
Seems like the troubleshooting was causing the trouble!
Thanks for your patient support.
I’m writing this, in case you do hear a complaint from someone else about it.PHP version is PHP 5.6.29.
Contacted my hosting again.
They say:
“Please note that it is a code level issue. You must check it with your developer or vendor, as there is nothing in the error log related with the server. Please ask them any function or php module needs to be enabled in the server.”So, are there any special functions or modules that should be enabled? Since I’m on self-managed VPS it’s very possible that it’s something I’ve missed to enable.
Thanks for your patience.
