Hello,
Search can work many different ways, the one with the comma for example is searching near a locations not IN a location, which means it will always be ordered by distance to the location, this is the IN search which i think is ordered how you want:
https://www.coeurdevilles.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=casher%2Crestaurant&snear=&set_location_type=3&set_location_val=7&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=The , is not ideal but there are a few options,
1. You could explain it in some text.
2. You could add the Categories to the dropdown in the search bar, so they would know to select restaurant and then enter “casher” only in the search bar.
3. You could enable advanced search in the Search field which will search for cats and tags and take them directly to the tag they want. Thanks,
Stiofan
AH so you have GD installed on both sites already?
There might be a plugin that will help for shortcodes, but maybe you could use the ”
Multisite Shared Sidebar” plugin somehow?
If you intend to do this yourself the functions you would need to use are https://codex.wordpress.org/WPMU_Functions/switch_to_blogStiofan
You are very welcome! 🙂
This is not something GD can do bye default, it would require much customisation and probably require running the GD plugins on both sites which would defeat the purpose.

As Guust suggested, try the map cache first, and let us know how you get on.
Thanks,
Stiofan
If you explain what you are trying to do maybe i can advise you better?

This would not be possible with the server side cluster at all as individual info is never passed, for the client side one, it might be possible but it would require some research and it might consume too much memory to be worth it, but this would depend on the amount of markers.
Its not something we will be looking at any time soon as we have many other things on the cards at the moment. Thanks,
Stiofan
Thanks for the info, please check now.

I will be looking at and reviewing all features after GDv2 launch, that is where my focus is on just now 🙂

You don’t have GD events installed and its missing a section of the events table.
Did u create a CPT called events or did u install and then delete events?Either way please install events and activate it, if you still have problems then try running GD Tools>Clear all version numbers.
Thanks,
Stiofan
December 15, 2017 at 5:07 pm in reply to: Advanced Search Not Showing All Related Locations To Pick #409705Yes there is a hard limit of 3 results per location type, its not something that can be filtered at the moment, it would need to be changed in the code.
If you need to change it, the line is in geodir_advanced_search_functions.php around line 2471

Thanks for the info, i have updated that file now (will be in next release) and it now seems to be working.
Thanks,
Stiofan
I plan on looking into how difficult that feature would be to implement that map feature.
For the CPT on the map, in v2 we plan on making it a dropdown select above search on the map, it might make it a little easier to see/understand?

Hi Dirk,
We should start blogging about it next week. We hope to have a beta out at the start of the year, there are many new features but i’ll keep that for the blog 🙂
One of the main goals is compatibility and ease of use, we are simplifying a lot of things and making them easier to understand.
Thanks,
Stiofan
Hi David,
By default GD should come in “American” english.
If you wish to make changes they can be easily applied following the usual WP translation process: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/Thanks,
Stiofan
