1. You could add categories to the main search bar and then hide the search input with CSS, this would only let users search via categories and location.
2. I would not make locations categories. There is an address input for each listing, this will allow users to filter by location.
For categories i would make this exclusively the type of therapies, and keep things like “insurance” to a custom field, maybe that could be a checkbox, “accepts insurance?” this can then be added as an advanced search option in the search bar.
3. You can simply delete the dummy categories under places> Place Categories.
If you do what i suggest in #2 you should not have a huge list. The category selector on the add listing page can be filtered by starting to type the name.

I don’t see the issue there, were u able to recreate it? Whats different between the two sites?
Stiofan
This reply has been marked as private.Did you manage to re-create it or did you convert again, i’m not sure what you want me to do with that info? If you managed to re-create on the dev site please also provide wp-admin for that site.
Thanks,
Stiofan
Hi Elijah,
I’m 99% sure this is siteground, the first user we seen with it was a nightmare to trackdown but it is part of their server settings:
IMPORTANT! On all SiteGround Cloud and Shared accounts, our Autoupdate system takes precedence over the default WordPress Autoupdate system.
They seem to have a policy that a major version jump means that your plugin/theme is WAY out of date and needs to be updated automatically, this is what i found on other SG sites, minor versino changes 2.0.0.1 -> 2.0.0.2 don’t fire but 1.0.0.0 -> 2.0.0.0 will.
Please see here:
https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/auto-updates/#How_to_completely_disable_the_WordPress_autoupdatesLet me know if we can help further.

June 7, 2019 at 12:04 pm in reply to: Search & Archive pages – shortcode v block column issues #491536Hello,
My guess would be that the shortcode block is messing with things (its been known to do this) we recommend using a html block instead for the shortcodes.
If that does not solve it please provide wp-admin details and we will have a look.
Thanks,
Stiofan
Hi Julian,
I am UK based, i asked for FTP 20 minz before my end of day.
It looks like you have restored this for v1.If i were you i would try to re-create the issue on your dev site, i suspect its a plugin or theme issue so try to make sure those are exactly as you would have it on the live site.
Thanks,
Stiofan
FTP will let me find the issue much quicker, please provide that when you can.
Thanks,
Stiofan
You want them app positioned in the top left?
If i remember right Elementor shortcode input strips other html, i think u would need to use the html input instead to prevent the html wrapper being removed.Stiofan
Hi Brian,
Thanks for the feedback, i have opened a task for this to be looked at.

I’m not exactly sure what you are trying to do, can you provide a link to your site and more info and i will advise more.
Thanks,
Stiofan

June 6, 2019 at 11:50 am in reply to: Bug: Near me button / Location page show listings that are not near me. #491231I have updated the content that is installed on install but you will need to update that manually in the location page, please change the listing shortcode to
[gd_listings post_limit=10 add_location_filter='1']
For the rating i have added a class and a data value to the first inside div (which will still give you the same effect)
It will look something like this for a 3.5 rating:<div class="geodir_post_meta gd-rating-info-wrap gd-align-left gd-lv-s-2 geodir-post-rating-value-3" data-rating="3.5">
Thanks,
Stiofan
