    1. I recently updated to the latest version (6.0.0.62) that adds “View: Grid 1” for the GD_loop, but the styling for that setting is all over the place. Thumbnails are various sizes (see 1st attached). I’m not sure I understand the point of gridview 1, or how and why it is different from Listview.

    2. I have spent countless hours trying to fix the spacing and number of columns in gridview to display correctly in Chrome. Now, I have discovered that the issue only seems to occur when using the shortcode for gd_loop, not the GD>Loop block.

Currently I have the block in use for the Search page and the shortcode in use for the Archive page (see 2nd attached) so you can see the difference. Again, this only seems to be an issue in Chrome but that is what I use for development and also what the majority of my customers use. (I am using Version 75.0.3770.80 of Chrome)

Please share a link to the page.

Grid 1 is for mobile or sidebars as an alternative to list.

    Hello,

My guess would be that the shortcode block is messing with things (its been known to do this) we recommend using a html block instead for the shortcodes.

If that does not solve it please provide wp-admin details and we will have a look.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    ok,
Then what’s the deal with Grid View 1?
Is is supposed to look like that? If so, I’d rather not give my users the option.

Snippet to disable it is provided in the blog post where we announced it: https://wpgeodirectory.com/release-of-geodirectory-v-2-0-0-61/

    Thanks

Thanks. But that doesn’t answer my questions. I might find it useful to have if it were to display in some other way. As it is, I can’t imagine anyone finding it useful.

Can you show me a demo site or website that shows it working properly?

It was added specifically for use in Sidebars and mobile display.
We plan to update our demo to show the new feature some time in the near future.

In the meantime, you can try it out in a sidebar and see if you prefer it compared to Grid 2, the previous default for a sidebar type area with a small width.

Yes, Thank you. I do prefer use of Grid 1 in the sidebar.

I just noticed that when implementing the snippet to hide Grid View 1 from the loop_actions, the dropdown is now blank (see attached) in Chrome and Safari but not Firefox.

Sorry, I guess I didn’t attach the image earlier.
