In geodirectory-templates/listing-listview.php please make the following 2 changes.

line 72:
To:

$uom = __(get_option('geodir_search_dist_1'),GEODIRECTORY_TEXTDOMAIN);

line 78:
To:

$uom = __(get_option('geodir_search_dist_2'),GEODIRECTORY_TEXTDOMAIN);

Please let us know if this resolves the problem.

The oldest i could find was 7.1 and it works fine on that one, what version and browser are you testing on that it does not work?
