Right, but like I said there’s isn’t even a change when I update the en_US.po within GeoDirectory_whoop/languages. With adding it to the Child Theme aside, shouldn’t changes I make to the main en_US.po file be visible on my site? For the heck of it, I copied the 2 updated mo and po files to whoop_child/languages as suggested but of course there’s still no change.

When I update the text within GeoDirectory_whoop/whoop-widgets/buddypress/bp-friends-widget.php however, the changes are visible on my site. Problem is, copying this file to the same directory in my Child Theme does nothing. As updating the po file doesn’t seem to have any bearing on the text that I’m trying to change, how do I get the changes I’ve made (that work) in bp-friends-widget.php to work in my child theme?

Ok, so it seems that even if I alter the above text within the main en_US.po file (not in the child theme), nothing actually happens. No changes are visible on my site. So let me back up a bit:

In order to change the text that’s displayed in the Whoop Friends widget, should I alter the text in GeoDirectory_whoop/languages/en_US.po or GeoDirectory_whoop/whoop-widgets/buddypress/bp-friends-widget.php?

Ok, I’ve done what you suggested and I’ve read the documentation in the link you provided but there’s still no change to the text on my site when I move the .mo file to the same directory in my Child theme. I’ve altered the text in the .po file, saved it then copied it over to my child theme but nothing. I’ve added this to the .mo file in my child theme but still nothing:

    #: whoop-widgets/buddypress/bp-friends-widget.php:102
msgid "has not connected with other members yet."
    msgstr ""

Clearly I’m missing something. Any more guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

There’s almost nothing in the .mo file though. Am I supposed to add this from the .po file to the .mo file?:

    #: whoop-widgets/buddypress/bp-friends-widget.php:102
msgid "has not connected with other members yet."
    msgstr ""

Also tried moving the bp-friends-widget.php file from within whoop-widgets/buddypress to the same directory in my child theme with no luck. When I alter this file without moving it, changes take effect. No changes when the same altered file is moved to my child theme though.

    Thoughts?

Thanks Stiofan, it looks much better. I can wait for the next release to get the scroll bar issue resolved.

    Thanks again,

Sorry please disregard my last post. Adding an
