Sorry Stiofan but no change to the Location Manager styling after updating to 1.0.3. Country, Region and City still display vertically instead of horizontally. As selections within each of these sections are already dropdowns, it makes for a bit of a messing and somewhat confusing display.
Hi guys,
With the 1.0.2 update the Location Manager looks much better but we’re still not quite there as far as having the Multilocations menu styling override a themes styling.
Here’s what it looks like now:
The colouring is better and it’s no longer blurry which is fantastic but the Country, Regions and City are still stacked vertically instead of horizontally. Is there any styling I can add to my custom css to correct this? At least for the time being, until the next release addresses the issue?
The only other thing to note is the background of the drop down comes out white by default, as do the links so the links appear invisible. I added this to my custom css:
.chosen-container .chosen-drop { background-color: #365e8f; }
which turns the white background to blue but this only seems to reflect in Chrome, not Firefox. So I had to alter the above in plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-assets/css/chosen.css, which isn’t ideal as the next update will likely do away with my change.
Thanks Paolo,
It was saving that was causing the issue. I followed the instructions in the link you provided and all is perfect. For anyone else that’s got slightly different OpenOffice settings, the key when saving is to select Edit Filter Settings in the Save As screen, then change the Character Set to Unicode (UTF-8) in the popup.

Perfect, thanks Vikas!
If the map used on the details page is the GMap-Listing widget, then the range would be based on the Map Zoom Level setting. So all listings from all categories (or a selected number of categories) that fall within the selected map Zoom Level would appear within this map on my details page. If this is not possible, perhaps a 3rd map widget can be created that has this feature, GMap-Details? It would be the exact same as the GMap-Listing widget, only this would have the option to select categories to include/hide.
Nope, you can only choose the categories you want to display by default in that section, not the categories to include but not display until a user selects it.
Basically, I’m trying to include a map on my Details pages that includes all categories and places within the area. So, home page has a map displaying 2 out of my 5 categories, a place is selected and the user is taken to the place details page where I’d like a second map displaying the rest of the categories and places that are located within that maps range.
Understood. Instead of the GMap-Listing Page widget then, can the GMap-Home Page widget have the ability to show a select number of categories within the bottom right corner of the map but have selected only the categories I choose? So if I’ve picked 5 categories within GeoDirectory/Design/Map, I’d like to have displayed 2 categories by default and the option for the other 3 categories to be selected and viewed should the viewer wish to do so.
Sweet, thanks Stiofan. I checked your link via mobile and the formatting’s perfect there too.
Best,
T
